SEOKJIN

I let out a huge sigh as I trudged my way out of the building in quick strides. My left hand was clasping the brown envelope carefully while I waved goodbye to Ms. Jang who gave me an apologetic smile.

I was walking back to my car when I suddenly flinched in surprise because of a soft tap on my shoulder from behind me. I spun around to see who it was and came face-to-face with a petite young lady with short raven hair. Her smile was wide and looked friendly enough, but I could only look at her with questioning eyes.

"You're the new transferee, right?" she asked me vaguely, trying to confirm my identity.

"Er, yes? If I am the only transferee for this term around here, then I guess that would be me," I answered cautiously. I didn't know her. "I'm sorry, but who are you?"

"Oh, right. I forgot to introduce myself. Damn, what is wrong with me? Anyway, I'm Yue Kang. I'm a fourth year Comparative Lit. student and also the current editor-in-chief for the school publication," she babbled on as she proffered her hand for me to shake.

I accepted it and we shook hands. "Nice to meet you, Yue sunbae. My name is Kim-"

"You don't have to introduce yourself. You are Kim Seokjin, of course. Everyone in the social circle knows about you."

    I straightened up. "Um, h-"

"I see and hear things around here, and duh, you are the youngest son of Park Seung-ho, the assemblyman who resigned and has gone missing right after your- Oh, shit. I am talking too much right now, aren't I?" Yue realized, clamping her mouth shut.

I seriously need to be cautious around her.

I smiled politely at her. It was, of course, inevitable for people to know some parts of my life as they were of public record. "It's alright."

"You're making me feel so guilty," she pouted.

"Don't be. I'm cool with it."

"Fine, if you say so," she murmured. "I am really sorry for bringing that up. Anyway, the actual reason I am here is because the admin assigned me to give you a tour around the campus. Don't worry, I know you're tired and all that and you still have to move to your new place, so this tour will just be quick. Then, I will show you where your apartment building is right after. Hey, I can't believe you opted to share an apartment with another person when you can have your own condo unit all to yourself though."
