It's been 5 weeks since I started at the music store. Shawn and I have just become better friends. And I've done a few more videos for my channel. I didn't know about Shawns covers either but since his video with me people at school have been a lot nicer to me, go figure.
It's Saturday morning and I'm on my way to work. Today's freezing! I hope Shawn has the heating on.
As I walked in the store was practically an oven, thank you.
"Morning Shawn!" I yell.
"I have surprise for you!" He yells back.
"What?"
Shawn puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out 2 tickets.
"We're going to see 5 Seconds of Summer!"
"Omg no way! Shawn you're the best person ever! I love you!" I run and hug him.
"It's still a few months away though" he laughs.
"How much do I owe you?"
"No, my treat" he smiles.
"Shawn don't be an idiot"
"Lydia stop being stupid!"
"Whatever, I'll pay you back one way or another"
I walk out back to start and unpack the new stock when I notice Shawn singing. I laugh and join in. It was "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele.
"Light bulb" Shawn tried to imitate Gru from Despicable me.
"What?" I giggle.
"Why don't we do a video together, like us singing?"
"Uh I don't know?"
"Come on it will be fun and besides you have a better voice then me!"
"Uh no I don't, you have a voice of an angel"
"Stop being sweet and just say yes!"
"Fine whatever" I shrug.
I go back and unpack the new stock onto the shelfs. I realise how fun my job is. I have music playing all the time, I'm around music all day and I also have Shawn to keep me company.
After a few hours past I look out the door, there is piles of snow everywhere.
"Hey Shawn?" I point out the door.
"There is no way you'll be able to go home now" he laughs.
"Where else am I meant to go then?"
"You can stay here silly" he laughs "anyway no one is going to come in during this weather. We my aswell just close up and watch movies upstairs or something"
"Anything but horror movies!"
"Fine with me, I hate horror movies"
As I follow him upstairs I text my mum that I'm snowed in at work and everything is okay.
"Uh Shawn, what do I do for clothes?" I ask
"I'm pretty sure mum will have something" he laughs "just go in there and take what you need" he points to a bedroom on the left.
I end up taking a pair of sweats and a black singlet top and get changed.
"fancy" Shawn looks me up and down.
"Why thank you, I got it from ya mum" I try and joke.
"No, just no" he laughs "anyway what do you wanna do?"
"Like you said watch movies?"
"I have a better idea!" He picks up Grand Theft Auto IV.
"Yes!" I laugh. I sit on the couch as Shawn sets up his PlayStation. Shawn hands me the controller and laughs.
"What?" I raise my eyebrows
"You'd make a cute gamer" he spits out.
"I already am!" I wink.
"Do you even game bro?" He stares at me seriously.
"Do you even shut up, bro?"
"Nope this mouth has a world of its own"
"Of corse it does"
Wait what did I just say, oops. I'm not sure how he's going to take that.
"Alrighty then" he laughs.
After a few hours, yes a few hours of just driving around, and running over pimps, which seemed to have kept Shawn and I entertained that long I got up and went to pee.
"I'm going to pee" I say.
"Nice to know" Shawn laughs. "I'm just going to make some dinner, are tacos fine?"
"Yes!"
After I get out of the bathroom I go and help Shawn make the tacos.
"I hope you don't mind but I only have soft" Shawn looks at me.
"PRAISE THE LORD SHAWN LIKES SOFT TACOS" I yell.
Shawn basically falls on the floor laughing.
We soon eat and I help him clean up.
"Thanks" Shawn smiles.
"No worries" I smile back.
"Movie time?" He asks
"Yeah"
"What do you wanna watch?"
"Surprise me"
After about 5 minutes Shawn comes back with Finding Nemo.
"Omg you're adorable Shawn" I laugh.
"I know" he sings.
There's no easier way to say this but I was falling for him in a way I can't understand. How do you even know you're falling in love when you've never even seen someone in love before? How am I meant to know what I'm feeling if I've never even thought of it. But the hardest part I don't know what he wants any more. What if I took my chances a few weeks ago and said I had a crush on him too? I'm not going to lie, when we were on camp all I wanted was him to kiss me, he was a nerd who I found so incredibly amazing.
"You seem cold" Shawn wraps his arms around me.
It wasn't long until I rested my head on his shoulder and fell asleep.
