Chapter Three: The Story of a broken Heart

Hades had already been gone for a while. Atropos was really worried by now and wondered if she should look for him. She was about to leave when Hermes stopped her.

"Hey, how are you? We haven't seen each other in a while." She turned and looked sadly at Hermes while tears stood in her eyes. "Hermes.... What should I do?" she asked and started crying. She hugged him and wept bitterly in his chest. "But... What happened?" he asked in shock, returning her embrace.

She told him what had happened. Hermes was visibly shocked and thought. "Hmm... I'm afraid I don't know anything for sure, but I'll ask Zeus sama about this and let you know as soon as I know anything. Promise!" Atropos nodded and wiped the tears from her face. She decided to look for Hades and hoped that it was all a misunderstanding.

Persephone had been kissing Hades for a while. He was so disgusted by her kiss, so that he finally pushed her away from him and asked, annoyed, "Did you have to do that? Was that really necessary?" She grinned and said, "Yes, intimacy is part of it. You know what happens otherwise...."

Hades sighed and reluctantly agreed. He was worried and wondered what would happen if he broke Atropos' heart. He was about to turn and leave when Persephone stopped him. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to tell her what you want me to tell her, but in private." She shook her head. "Not now. There's time. I'm not done with you yet."

Hades raised an eyebrow, wondering what she was up to now, as she pulled him to her and led him into a room. She pushed him onto the bed and grinned. She took off his coat and unzipped his pants. He held her hands tightly and looked surprised. "What are you trying to do? Don't do that!" Persephone lay over him and said, "I told you that intimacy was part of it."

Hades would have liked to push her away, but knew he had no choice. It pained him, as he didn't want to be touched by any other woman than Atropos. He definitely would not enjoy the whole thing here....

Atropos had been looking for Hades for a while. I'm sure he walked this way.... Where could he possibly be? She continued down the corridor when she heard noises.

She stared at a room door that was slightly open. She decided to look through the crack in the door and was shocked. She saw Hades in bed together with Persephone. She was startled and fell backwards to the floor, touching the door at the same time.

Hades stopped and looked in shock at Atropos' face and then at Persephone's. "So that's what you had in mind.... You wanted her to see us together!" he said angrily and stood up while buttoning his pants.

He walked up to Atropos and said, "Aisa,...please...let me explain..." He held out his hand, but Atropos slapped it away. She stood up and cried.
"Why... did you....? I don't understand, what's going on? Why did you.... cheat on me? We were supposed to get married....."

She took two steps back as Hades tried to approach her. Persephone walked triumphantly to Atropos and said, "I told you he was mine. We are going to be married. Consider the wedding off." Atropos shook his head and looked over at Hades in confusion.
