Days turned into weeks and things started to change for The Girls in Neverland.

It started with one of the girls, Mary. She was a cheerful girl, just a little younger than Pearl. Her favourite thing in the world was Fairies. Pearl said that all she ever wanted to be in play-house was a fairy, or fairy mother, or any other fairy-variations of family roles. One day, she left with only saying one thing.

'I'm going to ask them to turn me into a fairy!'

That was the last thing she said. Mary never comes back. They searched for months, but they couldn't find her. They had asked the fairies, and their only reply was, 'She grew up and found a better place to live in.' That night, Pearl realized something. As she was chatting with the girls, she realized that her memory was...spotty. She couldn't remember some things that she would normally remember, like her youngest brother's name, or the dish her mother used to make. She thought that was odd, but the other two just dismissed it.

The next day, one of the girls, Annie, along with Pearl, decided that they wanted to go home. The other girl, Elizabeth, didn't like our decision and went away. She said that we were overreacting, and that if they wanted to go back to that 'Hellhole', then they should be her guest. Pearl didn't blame her at all, compared to them, Elizabeth didn't have a good life in the Mainland.

On the edge of the island, Annie and Pearl tried to fly back to the Mainland. However, Pearl wasn't able to fly. After everything that happened, she couldn't think about enough happy memories to fly. Not wanting to be a burden, she told Annie to go on ahead. Annie was hesitant at first, but complied after awhile. Pearl, who wasn't planning on giving up, tried to swim her way to the Mainland.

She failed. One second she was was overwhelmed by a wave, and the next, she was already swimming in the ocean with a scaly tail.

'I was really devastated...,' Pearl looks sad as she recounts her memories. 'Before deciding to leave Neverland, I was a little scared of being abandoned by my family. Now that I look like this, there's no way I can go back home,' Looking up at the dark blue sky, she continues. 'But I did. I went home.'

After a long journey, Pearl had reached the Mainland and met Annie again. Upon their meeting, Annie said something shocking.

'We're already dead'.

Annie found out that we're all already dead. All of us. Mary, Annie, Elizabeth, all the Lost Boys, and Me are all dead.

'What do you mean?' A question slips out of my mouth.

'I mean, we're all dead,' she turns to me slowly. 'Turned out her family couldn't see her. No one could. She also found several news articles about our deaths and...our graves.' I feel my breath being stuck in my throat as she continues. 'Do you get it? We're all dead. You, me, all of the Lost Boys are all dead!'

I laugh.

'No, I'm not. I'm sitting here, talking to you!' I stand up. 'See? I'm standing here,' I hop up and down in front of her a few times. 'Now I'm jumping! I'm still alive.'

'Peter....' Pearl's gaze stops me. 'How long have you been here?'

'A month at most.'

'Where do you live?'

'London. Why?'

'Which street?'

No answer. I can't answer. It's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't remember the name of the street. I remember what it looks like. I can remember rows and rows of houses, which line the street. I remember the streetlight. I even remember the men who lights the streetlights everyday. However, I still can't remember the name of the street.

'You don't remember do you? You see, when we die, our memories fades. We will probably be gone when our memories are completely gone.'

'I STILL REMEMBER WHERE I LIVE!' Frustrated, I start to shout. 'I just can't remember the name!'

'Lower you voice, will you? They will-'

'You know what? I'll prove it to you! I'll just go back, get back here and tell you the name. No! I'll describe it down to the littlest detail.'

'Peter...' Pearl's voice is soft. 'You don't have to do that.'

'Of course I do! I'll show you that I'm alive!' That is the last thing I say to her.

Morning comes when I decided to go back to London. Tinkerbell told me that to go to the Mainland, all I have to do is go right from the sun and straight until night. That's easy. Making sure I have everything I need, I check my bag.

'Going on an adventure, Peter?' One of the Lost Boy asked me.

'Yeah, I'm going back to London.' I answer without looking up.

'London? Why?'

'I need to check something,' I exclaim as I look at them, determined. 'Huh? Where's the scrawny kid?'

'Don't call him scrawny kid! He has a name you know!'

 'Fine....fine....where's Stickboy?'

He sighs. 'You don't forget his name, do you?'

'Of course not, Mosey. I told you we need nicknames,' I cross my arms as I smile smugly. 'So, where's Stickboy?'

'Dunno. I haven't seen him since last night.'

Mosey's answer prompts more 'I don't know' from the Lost Boys. Apparently, no one had seen him since last night. We did went on our separate ways after the swimming party in the Lagoon. 'He probably found some new place to explore.'

'Of course! Oh I can't wait to see what he found!'

'Well, I'm off'

My declaration is replied with lots of cheers from the boys. After fastening a hat on my head, I stand up straight and salute them. Tinkerbell does the same. As I starts to float, the Boys salute me back. I rest my arm and the boys follow suit. Turning around, I stretch my arms beside me, before jumping off the cliff. I take a dive before soaring into the sky. In the background, I can hear cheers and whistles rooting for me.

'To London!' I declare.

I soar above the clouds with Tinkerbell. It's beautiful. The sun is shining in the clear blue sky. The clouds are gliding as the wind blows. Playfully, I dive into the clouds. It's a bit disappointing to find out that it doesn't feel like fluffy cotton, but it's still fun nonetheless. The clouds are cool and wispy. It feels like a cool steam which melts to the touch. It feels really great when I dive into the clouds after the heat of the sun warms me. I look at Tinkerbell. Just like me, she is really enjoying our flight.

'The Lost Boys need to feel this!' My shout is replied by Tinkerbell's enthusiastic loops and twirl.

Slowly, the sun turns orange. It really is a long journey. The sea seems to stretch on forever, but slowly, I can see some silhouettes in the distance. 'Come on, Tink!' Excited, I fly faster. The silhouette gets bigger and bigger until it turns into clusters of buildings. 'It's London!'

The city is dazzling. Even from above, I can see the streetlights lighting up the every corner of the city. Since it's getting dark, the road is almost empty, but the homes are full of lights and laughter. Remembering what I come here for, I glide further. The street I live in is just around the corner of the avenue. After turning around the corner, i finally arrive to where I used to live.

The streets are just like how I remember it. It's not too wide, but enough for two carriages. The pavement is old, yellow, and a little bit chipped. Hearing some laughter, I look up at the windows. Some of the houses are freshly painted, others are decorated with new flowers I haven't seen before. I stop walking. Tinkerbell, who has been floating behind me, bump straight onto my hair. I have found it. Even now, those red and white bricks leave a bitter taste in my mouth. It's saying a lot, considering how all of the houses look identical.

It's my home.
