Aires pov...
As Stiles' eyes flew open I clamped my hand down over his mouth and brought my finger to my lips, a silent warning in my eyes. Stiles went back to sleeping whilst I started scheming, he was fast asleep when my ears picked up the sound of someone lurking close by.
A frown twisted on his face, not knowing what it was that had me on edge. I could hear them getting closer, walking up the porch until suddenly the front door flew open and the sound of a machine gun ripped through the air.
"Grab everything." I hissed before bunching up all the evidence of our presence.
Quickly, I flew across the room and opened the panel to the secret room I had hid in too many times before. I shoved him inside before closing the panel behind me. Even though we were hidden I wanted us away from the only entrance in case they started sniffing around.
"Shit." Stiles suddenly hissed as he stood on a nail, making my eyes widen before I slapped my hand over his mouth.
The sound of smashing ripped through the air as more people invaded my house. They were maniacally breaking their way through the rooms, searching for us even though they would never find us. For a second, I thought about storming out and ripping them all apart.
"Ree." Stiles mouthed under my hand, forcing my attention onto him.
He gave me one shake of his head, knowing exactly what I was thinking. So instead of going on a killing spree, I was forced to be a sitting duck as Gerard and his dogs ruined my house.
I'd hidden all of Lana's belongings, protected the last few things of hers that I could, but even then I was worried about how far they would go to search for us. If they burned the house down then I'd have nothing left.
And the picture of her and Gerard meant everything- it said a thousand things.
The sound of gunfire went on for minutes, the sound of chaos was the only thing that could be heard, it was corrupting the air. And it was getting harder to not go out there and rip them apart.
I dropped my hand from Stiles' mouth and balled my hands into fists on my lap. I couldn't kill them all, even if I wanted to. I had to wait it out and bide my time. But they were ruining everything Derek built, everything he worked on.
Suddenly, deafening silence ripped through the air, putting me on edge. With my vampire senses, I listened as they all defeatedly stormed out of the house.
"The bitch wasn't even there." A man snarled.
"She'll show her face soon." Another one chimed in. "Remember, he wants her alive."
They were looking for me and yet I was a ghost, hiding in the shadows where they couldn't find me. They would never get a hold of me, never find me willingly. I was untouchable. The only way I would end up in Gerards hands was if it was something I planned.
They couldn't catch me.
The roar of engines filled my ears and within minutes, they were gone. There was nobody in the house, nobody around the house. It was dead silent.
"What the hell was that?" Stiles demanded in a low whisper.

Aires pov...
Suicidally, I slipped through the trees in the woods, dragging Stiles along with me. There was a tension in the air that was suffocating, there was no push, no pull- everything had gone still and yet that was somehow worse than if there was chaos.
