Kissing orgasm.
I stared at the two words boldly written on my phone from my Google search.
After hours of trying to figure out what'd happened to me when Dominic and I kissed, I finally found something that made so much sense I couldn't help but reread it repeatedly and relate it to how I'd felt.
Orgasm.
I lightly threw my head back into the seat's headrest, my smile stretching into a tucked grin. I couldn't help but place my hand on my stomach, the fuzzy swirls of butterflies intensifying the more I recalled what had happened in the morning.
I'd had my first orgasm and in the moment, I'd had no idea what it was or what it meant.
Now that I knew, I couldn't stop thinking of every sensation I'd felt seeping through every pore on my skin from head to toe and eliciting shockwaves everywhere I felt excitement.
The memory lingered long enough in my muscles for me to remember every twitch, contraction and spasm. I wanted to feel it again, this time fully aware and giving in.
I yearned to get lost in those blossoming feelings that yielded some of the most beautiful things my body had ever felt.
Placing my elbow on the opened window frame, I rested my chin against it, a fresh gush of cool air instantly blowing against my skin, ruffling my hair.
A soft smile involuntarily touched my lips, the glow of its warmth radiating to my chest for a swell of heat. I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt this way. Heck, I wasn't sure I'd ever felt this way.
It wasn't just the fact that my hormones had been brought to life and teased with what I'd been preserving myself for since I became an adult. I could see the light at the end of the tunnel, the hope of those fairy tales I had in my mind as a little girl reaching fulfilment.
I could love him and something in my core told me he could do the same and fall madly in love with me. I was open to that feeling of hopeless love.
I didn't know what its bounds were outside its platonic form that I'd shared with my family all my life, but what was life without risking and learning?
Raquel cleared her throat, making me turn to her without tucking back my smile. "I haven't seen you this happy since I met you," she remarked, the warmness in my smile radiating to her lips.
"I haven't felt this way in a long time either," I admitted, slipping my phone back into my purse absentmindedly. "I know it's just been one night, but for the first time in a while, I see the light at the end of this dark tunnel."
Raquel's smile grew wider, her hand gently squeezing my knee. "You deserve it, Sofia. I told you things would eventually fall into place and look at how much things have begun changing for the better in the past week."
Of course, this wasn't the best place we could be, but I was grateful for the progress the situation had made in our favour. These were the small things we could use as stepping stones for bigger victories in the future.
"Thanks, Raquel," I said with a soft smile. Everyone deserved to be happy, me included.
Raquel nodded. "Ava's been doing pretty well lately and that's more reason to celebrate. She's more enthusiastic about her stuff and seems distracted by her projects."
I cocked a brow curiously at Raquel. "I saw her drawing yesterday when we spent time together. Is she perhaps creating a collection of drawings for her project?" I asked her.
