It took a whole day but I'm finally starting to feel better. That stomach bug was no joke and I'm hoping that Chase doesn't get it. I tried to stay away from him, but the moment he came in from work he demanded that we cuddle until I feel better. Who would have thought that a man like him would want to cuddle all evening? He surprises me all the time.

I'm sure that the bug came from my client. The whole time that I was with her, she was complaining how her littles' had been sick all week and she was glad to get out of the house. The first thing that I did when we got to work this morning was clean everything.

I got out the disinfectant and cleaned every inch of the entire shop. I'm just finishing up when Marcus comes by.

"Are you feeling any better? Chase said you had a stomach bug. My nephews all had it last week. It was brutal."

"It was. I'm feeling much better now. How'd it go yesterday?" I scrub extra hard around my work station. I don't want anyone else to get this bug. "I'm sure Chase sugar coated it for me so I wouldn't worry."

He laughs but then nervously pulls at the back of his neck. "Not going to lie, we missed having you here." He turns to walk away but then stops. "Oh. I almost forgot. A guy came in here yesterday wanting to book with you. Maybe he'll come back today. Watch out though. He gave Chase the creeps. Let me know if you need help if he gives you any trouble."

I instantly freeze. I hope it wasn't Christian. I'm sure if he found where I live, he can find where I work too right?

"What do you mean, Marcus?"

He shrugs his shoulders. "Nothing really. We used to have guys come in all the time like that when Vienna was piercing with us. They just give off a vibe. Just be careful and it'll all be good."

This time he walks away and I can't help but wonder who Vienna is. Paul never mentioned another piercer at the shop. He told me that he did them and that was it.

I just have a few more things to clean before I'm confident that every surface will be stomach bug free. My phone has been buzzing like crazy over on the front desk. Kelsey must have something big to tell me. She had a falling out with Anthony from Lights Out. Everything seemed to be going great until she walked in on him in the bed with another women this weekend. You would have thought she would be heart broken but she's taken the news surprisingly well.

Kelsey's like a CSI detective. She can dig up dirt on just about anyone no matter what. I think she's planning a revenge on Anthony. She mentioned something about it last night when she called to check in on me. I had her on speaker when Chase had to bring up that that she was missing the perfect person to help with her revenge.

Me.

He let her in on all of the pranks I've pulled since I started. Kelsey had no idea that I had that in me. There was no way that would have happened back in our law office with the Hoover brothers. Can you image? I would have been escorted out of the office for an entirely different reason.

I pick up all of the cleaning supplies and organize them back where they're supposed to go, finally having a second to check in on the latest from Kelsey. To my surprise, that's not who all of the calls were from. I have 16 missed calls and a new text.

UNKOWN: You need to answer my calls. He's not who you think he is.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Who is this person and who are they even talking about? There's no way they're talking about Chase right? No, He's not who I thought he was to begin with. They're right about that. He's not a complete jerk who just wants control. He's actually really caring and would protect me at all cost. Something that I've never had.
