After what seemed like hours, which somehow was only a few mere minutes, I sat up.
Kylo continued to sit against the opposite wall.
My hair was stuck to my face from my tears.
Poe laid in my arms and I somehow couldn't bring myself to look down.
My hand was on his, which was over his wound.
"I hope you remember this day, Solo. The day will come when your world around you will burn. Karma is a beautiful thing." I told him as I stared at the ceiling.
"There's a way to bring him back." Kylo said quietly.
"He's dead!" I shouted in fury.
"He's freshly dead. You have a few moments before your chance is gone. It requires your force energy being put into him." Kylo monotonously said.
"Why would I believe you?" I asked.
"You don't have to. If it's a chance for him to live once again, a part of you wants to." He replied.
"Why are you telling me this?" My eyes puffy from crying, beginning to water once more.
"Because it'll take almost all of it, meaning you'll die after." He chuckled, "one less force-user."
I took a shaky deep breath and held my hand above his wound. He didn't deserve this. In a heartbeat I would put myself where he is.
I concentrated as much of my force being as I could. I began to focus it all onto Poe's wound and the fact that he wasn't alive.
I could feel my body becoming weaker. I felt lightheaded and fragile as I continued to focus whatever else I could into Poe.
After seconds, I felt a hand on mine. Poe's hand.
I opened my eyes to see his brown eyes staring into mine.
I gasped as tears flooded my eyes, and poured as if a dam had broken.
"Poe!" I cried hugging him.
My arms were weak as they held onto him.
"Flower." He smiled at me.
I felt like a withered flower, dry and dead.
The same way grass gets without rain for weeks it how I felt in this moment.
Poe tensed up as I felt Kylo Ren standing behind me.
His hand extended to my back and I felt an odd sensation.
Like that grass I felt like, had gotten watered on and replenished.
As though that withered flower had sprouted new again.
He used the force to save me?
"Why?" I asked Kylo, as Poe stood up.
"I'm not afraid of anything." he paused "But I don't think I can actually stomach the thought of you dead. You both need to leave. Now." Kylo limped away, holding his hip.
I was left completely and utterly speechless.
"Let's go, your leg needs taking care of." Poe stood up and helped me up carefully.
"We need to get to Jakku." I said quietly, "for bb-8."
"They'll track us back to base." Poe helped me to the hangar.
Kylo must've told his bucketheads something because nobody dared to pull their blasters out.
"Just trust me." I hobbled my way into a TIE fighter.
Poe jumped into his seat and held the weapon canon controls.
I pulled straight out of the hangar and we made our way back to Jakku and landed away decently far from Tuanul.
I knew the place from maps of the planet.
"Niima outpost. They're known for taking droids and pieces of ships in. Let's check here first." I landed the fighter on the outskirts of the village.
I groaned at my leg's pain. Dried blood coated my thigh, the wound still open.
"We have to hurry and get you back." He helped me walk with an arm around my waist.
"What about the droid?" A voice called.
"What about him?" A girls voice answered.
I looked up to see bb-8 with a scavenger.
"I'll pay for him." He blobby man replied.
"He's not for sale!" Poe shouted.
Bb-8 beeped in excitement and came rolling over.
"Buddy!" Poe smiled.
"You're his master?" The girl came over.
"Yes." He looked up at her.
"Listen, we desperately need to leave this place. Can this TIE fighter buy us anything out of here?" I asked her.
"Yes I'll let them know that I'll scrap it for parts. Take that ship over there." She pointed to a beat down flyer.
It didn't look reliable but one jump through hyperspace was all I needed.
I gave her a smile and a nod then made my way to Poe and bb-8.
"Let's go home." Poe said once he started the ship up.
I heard creaking and chuckled as it struggled to stay in the air.
"One jump. Come on" Poe accelerated the ship and put it in hyperspace.
I still didn't trust it, nonetheless but it got us home.
