Diana paced around the Potter's house in Godric's Hollow, where they were all gathered; where they were all supposed to gather after finding the Horcruxes, hours ago.

Remus and Diana were first to return with Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem, followed shortly by James and Lily, returning from the Malfoy Manor with Tom Riddle's Diary. James and Lily had a few misses by running into Death Eaters, almost caught at the very last second, but they managed to escape.

"Where is everyone else?" Diana huffed anxiously. All the others present at the house seemed just as scared, not sure of their friends' fate.

James was hugging Lily as they were sitting on the couch, running his hand up and down her back to calm her down. But he was just as worried.

Dumbledore and Moody had evacuated the village of all the Muggles, and had gathered whoever they thought would want to stand up and fight. Professor McGonagall, Hagrid, Professor Flitwick, Aberforth, some from the Ministry, a few of the old students who had already graduated Hogwarts but wanted to join the war.

This was the night it all had to end.

They had placed protective charms around the village like a shield, but they knew this was just to buy time.

Everyone inside suddenly jumped when they heard someone Apparating outside the house. They all ran outside, seeing Kreacher and Sirius, who was carrying his brother.

"Move aside!" Sirius yelled, trying to run into the house. "Water! Someone bring water!"

Lily ran into the kitchen, bringing a large glass to where Sirius had laid down Regulus on the couch in the dim-lit living room. He helped Regulus drink down the water. He looked almost dead, as white as a corpse.

"What happened?" James asked briskly. "Did you get it?"

In answer, Sirius dug into his pocket, taking out the locket of Salazar Slytherin.

They sat there like that for what felt like an hour that suddenly another sound alarmed them. Alice and Frank had just appeared outside.

Lily ran out again, hugging Alice in relief when she saw that her friend was safe and sound. Alice still had resemblances to Bellatrix from the Polyjuice potion, but she was slowly transforming back to herself.

"Frank. He's hurt," Alice said quickly, pulling away from Lily's embrace.

"I'm fine. It's nothing," said Frank, limping forward until they were back in the house. There was a big cut over his leg. Professor Flitwick quickly began to attend to it.

"They caught us," Frank went on. "We confunded the goblin to get us into the vault, but we think another goblin alarmed the Lestranges. They came after us. We did manage to get the Goblet, but we're certain that the Death Eaters and Voldemort now know what we are after."

"It won't be long until they get here," said Moody. "The moment we destroy the Horcruxes, it Voldemort will know exactly where we are. They are connected to him, after all."

"But that's good. We want them here. This is where the fight is supposed to be," said Sirius.

"Is everyone else back?" Alice asked, looking around the room.

"Only Layla and Marlene are missing," said Diana, her hands shaky, though she was trying to hide it.

"Oh, God!" Alice suddenly gasped. They all turned around to see what had grabbed her attention until they saw Marlene, standing by the open door of the house.
