The doctor said as our eyes widened. I was lying on the hospital bed, while you, mom and dad sat on the couch.
"What?..." Dad asked, unable to speak.
"We won't get your hopes high, but we might be able to save Miss Lee if this surgery is successful. We'll start injecting the antibiotics and medicines in her body from today, and right after one week, we shall put her under. Her body might reject it, but it's the only thing we can try and do."
I hated it.
I hated the fact that my end was so uncertain.
I hated the truth that my future, our future, was so unpredictable.
