THE START OF SOMETHING

The Rajvansh Group of Industries is a colossal company, covering the majority of business shares all around India, and South Asia and spread all around the globe. Today is the 50th year celebration, a testament to its enduring legacy.

The vast, lavish ballroom was filled with powerful and influential people. Politicians, business leaders, and celebrities mingled, creating a dazzling display of wealth and status. Also in attendance were the key employees of the company – managers and project leaders – who had brought their families to the event.

The Rajvansh Family has already reached the venue except, the main host, Vedant Rajvansh, himself

Ashok Rajvansh, the patriarch of the Rajvansh family, his eyes scanning the crowd, turned to his son, Pradeep.
"Pradeep, Ved kaha hain?"
His voice, a low rumble, carried a hint of authority.

Pradeep, a man of fewer words, nodded.

"Papa, abhi tak nahi aya" he replied

"Kaab taak ayega?"

"Papa, mein Vedika ko bolke call karwata hoon."

Pradeep turned towards his younger daughter,

Vedika, a vivacious young woman, dialled her brother's number.

"Ved bhai, Kaha ho aap? Dadaji aur Papa puch rahe hain" she said, her voice tinged with urgency.

"Mandir mein hoon"

Vedant's voice, calm and measured, echoed through the line.

"Mandir mein?"

Vedika asked with a voice laced with confusion

"Haan, dadi ke liye aya hoon, yaha ke sath jo orphanage hain, waha ke bachoke liye kuch kapre aur cheez dene"

Hearing this a smile formed on the lips Vedika

"Thik hai, bhai ap ao. I'll manage this side"

With that, the call ended

Vedant looked in front of him a serene smile touched his lips as he watched the children, their laughter like wind chimes in the heart of the city. He had always been drawn to their unadulterated joy. Suddenly, a melodious voice, like a siren's call, pulled him from his reverie.

The source was a young woman, her back turned, her figure shrouded in a pristine white Anarkali. The children clung to her, their eyes mirroring adoration. She was their 'Rohi Didi'.

"Rohi didi! mujhe bhi chahiye chocolate" a small girl called that young woman, who looked at the young girl picked her up and gave her a bar of chocolate

Instantly, the girl in her arm pecked her cheeks and thanked her

Vedant, didn't know why but he felt an immense level of peace watching it, he suddenly became curious about that mysterious woman but his reverie was interrupted by the head pandit.

"Apka bohat bohat thanyabad, apne in anarth bacho ke liye chocha. Aur khud aye yeh toufa in bacho ko dene."

Vedant nodded his head and the pandit left, as soon as he looked a sense of disappointment washed over him as she wasn't there anymore so he turned to leave. He wanted to know more about the woman in white.

At the venue, the air was thick with anticipation. Vedant, arriving late, moved through the crowd with the effortless grace of a seasoned diplomat. Greetings were exchanged, smiles plastered, but his mind was elsewhere.

In one corner of the ballroom, Manish Mehra, a long-time employee of Rajvansh Group of Industries, stood with his wife, Pallavi, and their daughter, Shivika. Pallavi was impressed by the lavish surroundings, her eyes wide with wonder. In contrast, Shivika looked bored and rebellious, her traditional clothing at odds with her modern attitude.
