Chapter 15: Compound

Students ran in fear, the beats had just jumped out the window.
Peter stands up and runs out of the office.

Steven Petty "Peter what the hell just happened... that thing had scales like some kind of lizard..."

Peter "It's hard to explain..."

Ripley "I got a picture, Peter..."

Peter "Text it to me... and let's get out of here..."

The three run out of the classroom, and the intercom screams about an urgent evacuation.

Kevin Wayne runs up to the boys in the hall.

Kevin Wayne "What just happened..."

Peter "Dr. Conners just injected himself with some kind of compound... Kevin, I need your help... you should walk home with me..."

Kevin "Sure bro... I don't live far from you..."

...on the way home...

Kevin and Peter are walking to May's house.

Peter "Kev... I need a favor..."

Kevin "what's up?"

Peter "I took this from Conners lab."

Peter hands a green vile of Conner's compound to Kevin..."

Peter "This is the juice Conners used... and you have the best chemistry test scores in the whole district..."

Kevin "so you want me to make some kind of stabilizing compound..."

Peter "Something to turn Conners back..."

Kevin "Yeah... a stabilizing agent..."

Kevin "I can try..."

Kevin then walks away from Peter's house.
May quickly runs out of the house in a frenzy.

Aunt May "PETER! OH. MY. God... I was worried sick... why didn't you answer my calls..."

Peter pulls out his phone to reveal it is shattered.

Aunt May "cmon inside before I cry out in public..."

The two enter the house and May savagely hugs Peter, almost strangling him for a few moments. A large and frantic knock can be heard from the door.
Peter opens it to see Felicia.

Felicia "PETER!"

She quickly grabs his face pulls it towards hers, and kisses him in the doorway..."

Felicia "I saw the news... you didn't answer my texts and calls...I can immediately... oh is that?"

Peter "Yes that is my aunt May..."

Aunt May "And who is this?"

Felicia "I'm peters girlfriend, Felcia..."

Aunt May "HA, I told you, Peter!"

Felicia "What did she tell you?"

Peter "I'll tell you later... do you want to come in?"

Felicia "Uh sure..."

Felicia walks into the house and Peter closes the door behind her.

Aunt May "So Felicia... do you want something to drink?"

Felicia "No thank you, Mrs. Parker...

Aunt May "All alright... so where do you
Go to school?"

Felicia "...uh... Visions Academy...in Brooklyn."

Aunt May "Ooh yeah... I heard about that place..."

*RING RING*

Mays's phone begins to blare, she stands and picks her phone up.

Aunt May "Hello?.. Alright... I'll be right there!"

Aunt May "That was work... there were injured students... they need me down at the school..."

Felicia "Are you sure you are ok Peter?"

Peter "I'm fine... my phone just got smashed... so Ima go to a repair store then head to the bugle... JJ should see the picture I have."

Felicia "alright... ima go now."

The three stand up and all three exit the door. May goes to her car as Felicia and Peter stay on the porch, the two stand and look at each other, Felcia grabs Peter and kisses him. Footsteps can be heard on the steps. The two turn to see Notman Osborn.

Peter "Mr. Osborn?"

Felicia "You..."

Norman Osborn "Felicia?.. I'm so sorry for what happened..."

Felicia "I hate you..."

Felicia storms off and escapes on her bike.

Peter "Why are you here sir?"

Norman "I wanted to make sure you were okay and I needed to talk to you about Harry..."

Peter "What's wrong?.."

Norman "I don't know how much time he has left..."

Peter "It's that bad?"

Norman "Yeah we can't find anything to help him, it's the same way his mother passed... you and he were like brothers...you are like another son to me... when you can here soon, I'd like you and May to come see him."

Peter "ok Mr. Osborn..."

Norman "Now I have to go, but I hope you are doing well..."

Peter gets on his bike and begins to ride.

...The Daily Bugle, Manhatten...

Peter walked into the building to see the elevator was down.

... 4 minutes later...

Peter "The one day the elevator is broken..."

??? "Tell me about it..."

Peter "huh?

Peter is confused and he turns around, he sees a middleaged man walking behind him on the stands.

Peter "How long have you been behind me?"

??? "The entire time kid..."

Peter "I'm Peter Parker."

Peter reaches out his hand toward the stranger.

??? "Edward Brock..."

Peter "nice to meet you!"

Eddie Brock "Sure..."

The two reach the top of the stairs, on the 5th floor.

Eddie sits down at a desk in the room, as Peter walks to JJ's Office.

Peter "Hey Betty!"

Betty Brant "oh hey there Peter!"

Peter enters JJ's office.

Peter "Hey there Jonah... did you see my email I sent on the way here?"

J. Jonah Jameson "Yes kid... I'm impressed you got a shot of "The Lizard"

Peter "Is that what you calling him?"

JJJ "Oh yes, like it?"

Peter "love it..."

Peter then leaves the office and stands next to Betty Brant's desk."

Peter "Is JJ alright?"

Betty "What?"

Peter "he was nice to me

Betty "I mean he is getting married... so I guess he is in a happy mood..."

Peter "Interesting... never thought of him as a marriage type..."

*Ring* *Ring*

Peter picks up his newly fixed phone.

Peter "Hello?"

Kevin Wayne on the phone "It's done!"
