"It looks like your baby daddy is happily married to a Haley Brooks, they recently purchased a Colonial- nice house actually" Clyde reads his notes, putting his face closer to his computer screen and appreciating the newly-bought home.

"He's married" Emily repeats, sitting across from her boss "When did he marry?" She asks, of course, he would be married. He's one of the good ones. "He married in February of 1990..." Clyde slowly looks up from his computer screen, giving Emily a side-eye.

"I was going to say I'm not judging, but by the look on your face. It seems you didn't know he was married" He makes the connection, watching Emily's face fall on her bump "I guess he wasn't one of the good ones..." she says to herself.

"Well no... let's look here" Clyde hopes there's a reason behind Aaron Hotchner's decisions "OH!" Clyde claps, earning a jump from Emily "You need to stop that." She glares at him, a hand on her rapid heart.

"It looks like divorce papers were petitioned by Mrs. Hotchner, both parties signed.. but it was never finalized." He says.

"When were the papers drawn up?" Emily asks.

"Papers were sanctioned on August 25th. Aaron received them in the mail the first day of September, and it was returned to Virginia on September 5" Clyde explains as a breath of relief exits Emily "Okay... so he was divorced" she says "Kind of," her both corrects.

"So? What's the verdict?" Clyde leans back in his seat.

"Are they happily married?" She asks, sadness glooming over her as she holds her belly.

"As happy as can get. Haley is a stay-at-home wife"

"Little squirt would have a mom dedicated to her," Emily allows her thoughts to become vocalized as Clyde sighs "I don't doubt that you would have been as equally as devoted, if not more. You are this child's mother," he says, reaching over to touch her hand "Give it two-three years, you'll be reunited" he tries to better the situation, but only doing the opposite.

"It's two years too long" She cries "Who knows if Aaron and Haley would even let me see the baby?" she takes a napkin from Clyde.

"Why wouldn't they let you see the baby?"

"Why do you think Clyde? Because I do this for a living." She makes a motion with her hands, highlighting the weapons on the table.

"And Aaron does what?" He counters as an exasperated sigh comes out of Emily "It's different" She says.

They share a few minutes of silence, Clyde watching the wheels turn inside her mind as she decides the future of her child. "I have no choice," she declares "It's either my mother or my child's father and his wife" Her hands clap on her lap.

"Agent Hotchner, there's a Lyle Rogers here to see you" A young, freshly-graduated Agent Anderson announces, pointing out the clear doors of the bullpen. Aaron thanks him and makes his way out, looking for an individual with a visitor's pass.

"Agent Hotchner!" his name is called. It's a blonde man with a medium build, a thin scarf wrapped around his neck topped with a leather jacket. "Lyle Rogers?" Aaron questions, but with his tone, it almost sounds like a statement

"Correct," they shake hands.

"What can I help you with?"

Clyde reaches behind him and pulls out a baby carrier, "Can we speak privately?"
