Diandra awoke to blue skies... Not the white dull ones. Then everything came back to her. The man... What happened after she died. Diandra sat up, and her green eyes observed the area. She was where she met Aidylin, and the tree was back.
"Good morn sweet heart." The man sneered.
Diandra looked to the man. "How did we get here?"
"While you were having your... Nap, everything started growing and gaining colour." He gave a short explanation.
"Oh. What's your name?" Diandra got to her feet.
"John. And your Diandra." He introduces himself.
"How do you know my name?" Diandra crosses.
"Some little girl." He answers.
"Aidylin." She whispered under her breath.
John gives her a slightly confused look. Then points to the meadow. "Lets cross there."
Diandra nods and goes to the bridge. She crosses it and travels to the meadow. The wheat seems to grow every step she takes, and next thing she knows, its over her head!
"John...?" She looks behind her.
"I'm 'ere. Can you see anything?" He is obviously annoyed that he can't see.
"No." Diandra answered
Then she saw a grasshopper, Diandra stopped and stared at it. Then continued to walk. She saw more about 5 steps ahead. But she still continued. And next thing she knew, is that they were all over!
"Damn. I despise these gross little things." The man grumbled.
Diandra ignored his comment. A grasshopper jumped onto her. She brushed it off, but more came onto her. Diandra began to frown. Then it started to hurt. They were biting her! Eating her alive! More kept on jumping onto her. Diandra turned around and looked at John. He was squishing them and stomping on them, but they were to fast. and more kept on coming each time on died. Diandra screamed, and grabbed John's hand. She sprinted, looking to get out of the accursed meadow. John yelled something at her, but she didn't hear it. The grasshoppers bites got worse. Tears were now budding at her eyes. And finally they were out. The grasshoppers scrambled off them and raced into the meadow, awaiting their next victim.
Diandra looked at john. His skin was red, as well as hit clothing was ripped. But otherwise, he looked fine. Then she realized that she was at the forest.
"We're here." She smiled at him
He nodded at her. And then suddenly he began melt. His eyes widened, as the skin sizzled and turned into liquid. He began to scream. It was the most blood curdling scream she had ever heard. It sounded so inhuman!
"John!" She yelled. She wanted to help him, but what could Diandra do. He was melting away.
His blood trickled to the green grass, and his bones turned to dust. Diandra stared, her mouth wide open. She was sad, and what she was saw was revolting. Did he run out of time? Diandra stood there for several minutes, then began to walk. She tried to forget the gruesome sight she just saw.
As she got deeper into the forest, her feet began to sink. She grabbed a branch and pulled herself up onto that she. So she obviously couldn't walk on the ground. So Diandra jumped from tree branch to tree branch. She found it exhilarating. She soon gained speed, and then something caught her eye. It was a person. She stopped. He was on the ground, and curled up.
"Hello?" She sat down.
The man looked up at her. "H-hello?"
"Who are you?" Diandra asked.
"Desya." He whispered and sat up.
"Is it safe to come down?" She questioned.
"No. Its where I lost the game." He muttered.
"Grab my hand!" Diandra ordered.
"Huh?" He looked at her.
"Grab my hand." She said it a bit slower.
He did, and Diandra pulled him out. He stared at her.
"Am... Am I free? I feel free." He looked at his hands.
Diandra nodded. "You are free. Now go tell others about me!" She demanded.
"Yes ma'am!" Desya nodded and ran off.
Diandra continued flying through the trees. Her hair blowing behind her. No longer did she focus on John, but instead on winning. She had to win for the sake of herself and the people she will save. Soon, Diandra was out of the forest, and in just in a clear area. All that was there was grass, and the blue skies, and a mountain. She stared at it, wondering what obstacles are here. She took a step, and she fell. She got up again, and took another step. And fell. Then Diandra realized what it was. She would always fall. So she sat down, and began to think. What if she jumped across. So she tried, she fell down. She tried skipping across, she got too feet ahead, then fell. She tried crawling, she face planted into the ground.
What if Diandra ran... She got to her feet, and she pushed herself forward with her leg. She began to run. She was making it! She ran faster, and it almost seemed like she was flying again! Diandra grinned. Then she felt her shoes fall off. She didn't bother to get them. Diandra now could feet the soft green grass squish under her feet and the dew drops on her bare feet. It was the most amazing feeling. As she gained even more speed, everything seemed to slow down. Diandra realized how much she missed running... She should have done it more when she was alive.
Diandra saw a rock emerge from the ground. She quickly went to the left, and a rock suddenly appeared there. She took a flying leap over it. She heard her own laughter
"You can't beat me!" Diandra yelled. "No one will ever beat me!"
Then the lion appeared in front of Diandra.
