Chapter Nine

Levi's POV
After dinner Bree left to go get changed for her date with Bradley. Even though he wants to go out with her I actually don't hate him, he's a good guy and I actually get on pretty well with him. But I'm a little angry with him that he didn't even give me a chance to ask her out myself, if only he gave me a few weeks at least to make my move. After I helped the guys clean up after dinner I head straight for Bree's room and knock on her door.
"I'll be there in a minute!" She yells . through the door I hear her fumbling around the room and load bang. the door then opens revealing a stressed out Bree. She had endless amounts of rollers in her soft dark blond hair, pink flannel PJs and the fluffiest pair of slippers I have ever seen. She is honestly the cutest thing on the planet.
"Hey Levi what's up?"
"Nothing really, just wanted to check up on you." She opens up the door more and allows me in.
Since there is practically no other surface in the room covered with clothes I sit on the top of her desk.
"Sorry about the mess." she apologises, picking some of the clothes off of the floor and placing them back into her closet.
"I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to wear. I've never actually been on a proper date before." This came as a shock.
"You've never been on a date before? Ever?" She's one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen and she hasn't even dated someone before. What the hell is wrong with the world?!
"Nope" she pops the 'p'.
"So what do you think I should wear?" She waves at me to come closer to her and I obey, only stopping when her left arm touches my right. She has at least four outfits laid out in the bed and she looks down at them in deep thought.
"Well what do you think?" She says after a minute of silence.
To be honest I think she would look amazing in all four but the one that catches my eye is the light blue AC DC tank top with dark wash ripped denim shorts with a short cream cardigan and black combat boots.
"I think you'ld look great in all of them but my favourite is the second one." She studies my choice and within a few seconds she's out the door and headed into the bathroom. when she comes out she looks just as adorable as I imagined.
"You look beautiful." She looks down at the ground, blushing.
"Thanks Levi. I really appreciate your help with all of this." She walks back into her room and starts to remove the rollers from her hair in front of a large mirror.
"I would do anything for you." she takes her eyes off of the mirror and looks into my eyes.
"I mean it." Even if it means giving you up I mentally add.
"I would do anything for you too, you're one of my best friends and I love you so much." She comes closer and wraps her arms around me in a warm hug. My heart plummeted when she friend zoned me. But I guess that's all we're gonna be.
"Hey how about we hang out tomorrow? Just the two of us. It'll be fun." she pokes her index finger into my chest with a bright smile on her face.
"Yea why not!" I know that I should keep my distance but she's my kryptonite.
I leave her to finish off getting ready in peace and a half an hour later I hear a knock on the front door.
"Hey Levi, how are you getting on?" Bradley cheerfully asks as he walks through the doorway.
"Ok I guess."
Bree comes into the room with the biggest smile on her face. just looking at Bradley I can tell that he thinks she's just as beautiful as I do. As soon as the door closed I let out a sigh. I should be the one bringing her on her first date and holding her hand. Hell I probably could have been if I plucked up the courage sooner and if she didn't see me just as a friend.
I decide to watch Family Guy for the rest of my night until eight o' clock when Bree gets in from the date. With a dazed/amazed look on her face she slides down the door and pulls her knees towards herself. Dammit I have absolutely no chance now.

AN: Here's the update that I owe you guys from yesterday. as I've said I won't be updating this until the 18th or 19th of July as I'll be going to the Gaeltacht for 3 weeks. I hope that this update will be ok for you guys up until then.
