Bree's POV
At work a few hours later I replay the events of this morning in my head. I TALKED TO ALL TIME LOW!! I was so sleepy that I thought that my eyes were playing tricks on me. I just can't get over how nice they are. Usually after a period of time fame tends to change people but from the talk that I had with them they just seem like a bunch of relatively normal guys (maybe not in Jack's case, that guy is a weirdo but in a good way). Hopefully after the tour I can say the same thing about the boys.
Since finding out about Brad cheating on me I've started working on the checkout a lot more in order to avoid Juliet. I don't know if they are still a thing since I haven't spoken to any of them since but to be honest I don't give a damn, after what they did I couldn't care less about either of them. They both deserve each other. I'm just glad that I've found out earlier rather than later.
The store isn't too busy today being a Sunday so I'm not under too much pressure. During my shift I spot Nate and Drew's girlfriends together chatting away while doing a spot of shopping in the food department. When they reach me their smiles don't leave their faces.
"Hey Bree! How are you? By the way I love the hair." . I haven't seen Lorna since that day we all went paint balling but I know that she and Drew had went on a couple of dates since then.
"Ah sure I'm grand, just trying to get through the day and thank you, I just got it done yesterday." I start scanning their items while Lorna and Kate fill me in on all of their news. They became great friends after Nate and Drew introduced them to each other and have been inseparable ever since.
"Hey if you want to we could meet up during your lunch break and go somewhere. What do you think?" Kate offers. Lorna shakes her head in agreement and both girls look to me hoping I'll accept their offer.
"Yeah sure why not, I'll text you later so we can meet up." I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea to hang around with some girls for a while. Heaven knows I need some girl time.
When Lorna and Kate leave I hear someone clear their throat. I snap out of my daze and notice the familiar blonde.
"Well well what a coincidence." Alex stands there with a big cheeky smile.
"Hey Alex, didn't expect to see you so soon. I'm beginning to think that you're stalking me." I lean my elbow against the countertop.
"Me? Stalk you? Never. What makes you say that?" He's such a flirt.
"Well I did only see you yesterday and today you magically appear at my workplace to buy nothing. You've got to admit that that is a bit strange." By the look of his face I'm on the ball. He pushes his golden locks back from his eyes and smirks.
"You've caught me."
"So what are you doing here Alex?" I'm pretty sure what the answer is going to be.
"Well I figured since you're not interested and have a boyfriend that it would just be better if we were just friends." Well that was unexpected.
"Just friends huh?" I'm not quite sure if I completely believe him.
"Yep just friends, no funny business." I stay quiet and study Alex. He seems genuine in what he says, I guess it wouldn't hurt to give him a chance. I'm in no state to be turning down potential friends, lets face it I'm a tad bit socially awkward when it comes to meeting new people.
"Okay fine but like you said no funny business Alex." I warn. He wouldn't want a whole band after him if he tried anything. His face lights up and he nods enthusiastically.
"Now get out of here I'm supposed to be working." Despite trying to stay serious a smile creeps onto my face.
