When I opened my eyes, I saw nothing but a village reduced to ashes, destroyed by fire. Weapons and spears littered the ground, corpses piled on top of one another, and the air was thick with the metallic scent of blood.

The sun blazed high in the sky, casting harsh light over the ruins. Behind me stretched a dense, green forest. I knew I was dreaming—yet, I couldn't recall ever having dreamed before. And this dream was far too vivid, too colorful. My vision was sharp, the smells too real. The houses in front of me stood decimated, consumed by roaring flames.

A movement caught my attention. Next to me stood a little girl with curly red hair and green eyes as deep as the forest. Her tattered clothes were dirty and full of holes, her face streaked with ash. Silent tears rolled down her cheeks.

I wondered where her family was, but the answer was obvious. Her home, her village—everything had been wiped out. Her family had likely met the same fate.

I took a cautious step forward, not wanting to startle her. But before I could get any closer, a Yautja hunter emerged from the shadows behind her. He was different from those in my clan. His armor was ancient, his dreadlocks long—he had to be an Elder.

Yet the girl showed no fear. She let him pick her up and clung to him, finally allowing herself to break down in his arms.

I started to follow them, but the scene around me shifted. Suddenly, I stood in a training arena. Weapons and sparring equipment surrounded me. And before me, the same girl—only now, she had grown into a striking young woman. I found myself staring, captivated by her beauty.

"REYA!"

A new voice called out. My gaze snapped to a silver-haired girl. Argentea. I recognized her from Chloe’s stories. Chloe had often spoken of Reya, and how deeply she regretted not being able to save her.

"So, it's decided, huh?" Argentea teased. "He’s the one? Your partner for life?"

"Yes," Reya confirmed with unwavering certainty. "It's him, and it will be forever. And don’t worry, you’ll find the right one for you too."

"You know what I mean," Argentea smirked, then softened. "Besides, yes, I know. When the time comes, I’ll meet him. But for now, I’m focusing on my powers—and on raising my three foster daughters."

"I’m glad they have you," Reya said warmly. "I know you’ll teach them well—just as Aartock taught us."

That name again. Aartock. It didn’t sound like a hunter’s name. And yet, it carried weight. I didn’t recognize it, nor had I ever heard it mentioned before.

Reya took Argentea’s arm, and together they walked away, laughing.

"Let’s leave serious things aside for today," Reya said with a grin. "Let’s talk about your new alien boyfriend instead."
