Narrator's Pov
Senior year held a special place in Regina's heart, as she had planned it with her former best friend, Janis, during a sleepover in middle school. This fond memory, however, was forgotten after Janis and Regina's relationship ended and replaced by the hunger for high school popularity wars.
It was a random Tuesday when she remembered it, with fewer mean plans and a character to behold, it became easier to reckon smaller things such as sweet memories. Her bright pink pen rolled doodling lightly against her English notebook. A small flower with slightly pointed petals became suddenly a bouquet and the classroom clock moved as lunchtime was arriving. A small hand woke Regina up from her daydreaming.
— Regina George, it appears that you may want extra spare minutes to space out during my class. — Ms Brown's flat-toned voice stated looking at the clock. — The class ended 8 minutes ago.
Such scenarios had been annoyingly recurring, the emptiness of mind was only a blessing to those small moments she could remember what was once forgotten, but at the same time it became easier to just not have anything besides a normal now non-popular teenager's thought-filling the girl's mind.
Regina's Pov
During lunch I looked after the lacrosse team table, she kind of missed the small talk with the plastics, but Kristen Hadley's chat could sometimes be just as interesting and filled with gossip from all over school.
— Have you girls heard it? Y/N and Janis have been quite close these past few days. — Such a piece of information made me look away from my food and interrupt my friend.
— Wasn't Janis going out with that mathlete guy?
— Well, I don't know, it seemed like it, but you know isn't she like...a... you know. — Hadley's voice lowered a little.
— A lesbian? I made that up. — I said carelessly eating one of my chips expecting nothing but silence after.
— Are you sure? Because you know, you guys have not been friends for a long time, you can't know everything about her — Dawn Schweitzer spoke making me fall silent again, the girls kept on rambling as I realized I no longer knew many things.
