After all results were announced, I was satisfied with my placing as having made a deal with cube, all my achievements were left to Rachel.
(KK)-Lucky coincidence...I'm so glad cube is like this.
Though, I was attracting unnecessary attention from such people like one of the characters from the main cast, Rachel, who was a princess no less...from a different country.
(KK)-It seems Hajin really is observing me now...he must be really curious...
We were back in the truth class anyway...
(KK)-Yoo Yeonha...
"Materialization, war." A weapon materializing from under her feet, she would trip over it as she fell into Chae Nayun as I chuckled to myself in my head internally.
Catching the gaze of Kim Hajin and Rachel, Shin Jonghak also seemed to be watching me.
(KK)-Welp, I should exit as soon as I can.
***
(KK)-The training area...
No one seemed to be around, thankfully enough.
"CRACK."
Imitations of a martial art was what I was practicing, before switching to the sword, then summoning the rifle as I added a blade under the lid of it and using it as a melee weapon.
"BANG!"
(KK)-...This isn't enough.
Pretending as if there was an opponent in front of me, shadow boxing was something like that, though mine...
"Urk-" Getting kicked with a large arcing trajectory from a fast blow to my head was rather damaging, even if I was a gunman, I had to get used to close range combat.
(KK)-Left then under.
Using my eyes, I would use two feints, my right fist and dashing in towards my imaginary opponent before ducking below and doing what would seem to be a handstand but using the ground to propel myself upward would be a double kick to someone's head if I was fighting a real person.
"You really are here again." Jonghak's voice interrupted my immersion that had almost submerged me beneath the serene tranquil lake of my subconscious mind full of senses.
(KK)-...
"What do you want?" I asked, rather tired as I lifted my hair up because it was slightly covering my vision, mostly my right side though.
"You look better like this." Jonghak inspected my face as I inched away from him, "If you don't have anything to discuss, leave me alone." I stated, to which he would take a spear from the sidelines.
"Wanna spar?" He questioned with a curiosity I hadn't seen on his face before, "...I-"
Someone's footsteps made me divert my attention as I caught Rachel arriving into the training room, I guess it was time for me to leave...
"Did you fight?" She would suddenly ask, examining the surroundings and position I was in...
(KK)-Oh this b-
"No we did not, he just arrived like you did." I admitted, telling the truth and only the truth.
"Oh...then..." Rachel looked as if she had something in mind, raising her rapier as she pointed her weapon at me.
"Would you like to have a mock battle?" A serious gaze, determined to beat someone, Shin Jonghak stood aside wanting to observe the battle that was about to take place with a smug smile.
"...Fine." I glared at her, standing up and taking my stance on the small confined field that was as spacious as a gym in radius.
"Anddd...START!" Jonghak shouted loudly to signal the commencement of the fight, there wasn't any need for me to go all out...
(KK)-I'll practice my martial arts with this then...
!
She was surprisingly fast, it was no wonder she managed to catch up the pace between us during the practical...
"I'm going for your legs." I lied, but she did indeed look down at her feet for a moment as I swerved to her back instead whilst trying to trip her, taken aback...she would try to jump to the side as she bumped into one of my rifles as she was coming back towards me.
"Click."
(KK)-Game...
"Over." I pointed the gun at her head, it was pressed up against her skin as I stared down at her with an icy gaze.
"..." She looked afraid for a brief moment, maybe I accidentally released a bit of killing intent, I wasn't sure if most of the cadets here had dealt with murder just yet.
"Good reflexes." I implied with a compliment, easing up the atmosphere as I helped her up.
"Now...next." I switched my gaze over to Jonghak whom my glance went to naturally since he would be my next opponent.
"Heh, I've been waiting." He arrogantly stepped towards me with a confident aura, "Do you think you'll lose...?" I asked simply out of curiosity to think what he would respond with, was he-
"Nah, I'd win."
(KK)-...
"Bring it on..." I growled, smiling menacingly.
"You're dead."
***
"Haa...!" Jonghak groaned exhaustedly, Rachel who was watching me with awe, was once again shocked by my poweress.
"I'm leaving." I expressed calmly in a nonchalant manner since I had no time to waste with the bailiff anymore.
"I'll beat you next time f**ker!" Jonghak declared from behind me in a distant sound, well, he should keep training and maybe he'll catch up with me.
***
The girl known as Rachel was analyzing her team's capabilities after training, a different footage was submitted to the instructors while...
"Fire."
It was that moment, that word, that was when the eight rifles fired off a destructive force.
"This..." Rachel stared at the laptop as she was in her room, memorizing this particular person as she thought back to the training area where she commenced the mock battle against them earlier.
"Wouldn't this be on par with an active hero?" Rather than shocked, she was more intrigued by the fact someone like this was in the 808th rank whilst she was ranked 3rd.
Shin Jonghak who was the second rank was also beat by the person who named themselves Yonaka(midnight), which was just an alias from what she suspected.
"...If I can recruit them..." Were the words she muttered before shutting the laptop and taking a break, planning her next day out for tomorrow.
