Reincarnation of the Unfortunate But Fortunate One

Chapter V ~Outside~

Hi honey drops, sorry I haven't posted in a long time! I haven't been feeling very well and I've been feeling burnt out for a while now so...
After a while, I decided to keep going with the story. I'll try and keep up with uploads this time which will probably not happen sadly.
But anyway, this chapter is VERY long so get ready to read for a long while.

I was met with a beautiful luscious green forest with a couple of small monsters or animals in the area where I had teleported.

Feeling the beaming sun on my scales, I feel comfortable after being in a cold dungeon for so long. Although still having trouble standing up it was nice to have the sun touching my skin as I slithered down the trail.

"This is heaven! It's such a change from that cold and damp dungeon!" I say with excitement.

While slithering down the trail, I encountered a slime eating a goblin corpse. Slightly grossed out, I decided to ignore the slime and make my merry way further down the trail. But thinking about it, what killed the goblin?

It couldn't have been the slime because I saw cut and stab marks on the goblin's body. Not only that, the goblin's body looked like it was killed rather recently..

I stopped in my tracks and looked around to make sure I wasn't being watched. To find a trap that I was just about to walk into, in the middle of the trail. "Alright N/N, you're fine. You'll be okay!" I say to myself totally not panicking.

I quickly go around the trap and scurry up the nearest tree I find. Doing this enables me to be able to see who is watching me or even be able to see the person who set the trap.

With good luck and good smell I was able to find where the person who set the trap was. And what do you know, that person was watching me. After the person found out I was looking at them they quickly got up and chanted something that I couldn't hear from where I was.

Having a bad feeling, I quickly move from the tree I was in to another that was nearby and heard a loud thud. I look at the place where I previously was to see a deep slice in the tree.

Panicking, I got down from the tree and slithering into the forest so it will be harder for the hunter to hit me with whatever it was shooting. Looking behind me I see them chasing after me, prompting me to go faster although it hurt.

Finally getting away from the hunter in the forest I see the trail a bit away from where I was in the forest. But this time I didn't stay on the trail instead I stayed a bit away from the trail but making sure the trial was still in my peripheral view so no one could see me.

After a bit of following the trail, I found a village or what I thought was a village at least with a huge wall surrounding it. I get to the edge of the forest, and look closely at the people lined up in front of the wall seeing beastmen and other creatures going inside of the village. I even saw a Naga!

This meant I could go into the city to without being questioned or attacked like I was in the forest. But first things first, clothing...

I search through the treasure I got from the arachnid chief looking for clothes. Finding a brown coat that had a defence stat up of 20 and attack 10. All the other clothing I found in there I could not wear due to me not being a high enough level.

'This will do I guess, I mean.. it's better than nothing..' I thought with a kind of disappointed expression. Not in the stats, in the looks.

Putting on the coat I started to slither down the pathway to the village. Upon arrival, I was met with lots of different species, even humans. I was slightly worried because, I didn't know if I knew the language of this world or if we needed identification cards or something like that.
