"I am Daenaera of House Targaryen, the blood of Old Valyria, the blood of the dragon. I was King's Viserys first born daughter, and named Heir to the Iron Throne. I will bow to no man, much less the blood of a usurper." - Queen Daenaera Targaryen

The night drew close, Daenaera watched from above the Godswoods as the children read books, braided hair, and just stayed in each other's company. Naerys and Laenerea sat braiding each other's hair in silent conversation that only they knew. Rhaella and Maenaera played at knights, hiding behind the heart tree in the Godswoods. Velaenya sat alone with her aunt, Helaena, Helaena was discovering a new bug. Velaenya read a book while listening to Helaena's soft words. Rhaenyra was to visit with her sons, a task Daenaera had looked forward to. She missed her sister dearly, but her sisters children did not get along with those of Alicent's.
Aemond, Aegon, Jace, and Rhaego were training with Ser Criston, Daenaera trained still some nights. Especially on the nights when her dreams persisted. The peace she had now was something she had never felt. There was true peace in the realm and her life, but there was a deep treacherous truth that hid deep in her dreams. "Rhaella and Aegon should be wed when she is ready. We should not rush them. They barely even speak." It was Alicent who made the suggestion, she was giving a choice to Rhaella that had not been given to her.
"She is like to never be ready. She spends all her time with Maenaera. They are rarely apart." Daenaera answered, "they remind me..." Daenaera did not have to say it, Alicent knew what she was to say.
