As Keith thought about the look on Alices face when she was standing there he didn't know what he should do. End it all now and forever be with Alice or don't and don't disappoint Alice. Before keith could make a choice Jess walked into his house and ran into the bathroom where he sat, knife in hand and to wrist.
"Keith,look at me. Please, please don't do this. I know I'm not Alice but...I um I've kinda started falling for you."
"What?"
"I'm falling in love with you Keith. I know I've only known you about a month but I can't get you off of my mind and if you haven't noticed I want to be around you more."
"Oh...how did you know I wasn't busy"
"You always say what you are doing. When you didn't I knew something was up."
"Jess I'm sorry but you are just a painful reminder of what I had and let go of."
"Keith, she is gone. I am here, you are about to let another girl slip through your finger tips. Make a decision, live and be happy with someone else or die and have disappointed the one you wanted to be with."
Keith sits for a minute before dropping the knife and crying. He was so close to disappointing not only Alice but also Jess, how stupid can he be? Jess walks up to keith and puts her arms around him, sitting on the bathroom floor with him.
