That was a bust. I had to think of something to feed them.
"You seemed distraught when I first met you, hysterical infact you said you didn't know where you were, explain that," He glares at me.
"Well first, let me address how me and your friend who I'm guessing passed away look alike, there is a one in 135 chance that we are identical doppelgangers," I make up some mumbo-jumbo.
"That is true, I've had of doppelgangers," The woman says.
"Also, the reason I said I didn't know where I was is because I truly didn't know where I was," I had to come up with something, think Hae-in think.
"I'm actually from the United States of America, adopted and raised there as you can tell. I am a private investigator from a fairly big company over there, I came over here on a job and got robbed as soon as i landed, i lost my means of communication aswell stolen, I have nothing but the clothes on my back and that book," I am a genius, brilliant I say.
"Did you report the incident?" The man asked.
"No, I was having a panic attack when you found me, I have very little to go on, my memory is all I got," I continue my amazing lie. This guy must be part of the reason I'm here, from the little I have read so far.
"How about we cut a deal, I help you with the case of the Busan Bombings and you give me a place to stay, I am one of the best P.I's there are," I try my luck.
"Why not report it, maybe they could send you back," The man asks, slightly tilting his head towards me.
"I could do that, but then I will be a laughing stock back at home, they don't do well with failures, I'd probably get fired, plus I'm hoping to find something out about my birth parents," I keep up the good lie.
"Seems like a fair trade, you can stay," The woman seemed convinced.
"I agree although I don't see why you're the one auctioning out my home Mi-so, but wait how and what do you know about the Busan bombings?" The man slightly tilted his head.
"It's a case from a year ago right? It's regarded as mysterious, the case has a lot of loose threads and can't be figured out, it must be important to you if you are still working on it," I point towards the board.
"It is," He said.
"You can stay here then, but since you are not captive, you can stay in the guest room, its not fancy but I'm sure it will do," He carries on.
Wow, I am good.
The woman gets a call and left because of something she had to do.
"By the way what is your name?" I just realize I don't know his name.
He stares into my eyes a bit and says, "Min-ho." Does man think I'm his lost girlfriend or something.
