Hyeon's pov

Living with Minyoung, who seemed to believe she was born to command, felt like a relentless trial. Every time I glanced at her, I could almost hear her inner monologue dictating her superiority. The prospect of enduring this daily torment under the same roof was almost unbearable.

As I wandered through the school grounds, my thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice calling out my name. "Hyeon!"

I turned to see Seunghan approaching. His face was lit up with that warm, boyish grin that always managed to chase away my darkest thoughts. I waved back, feeling a wave of relief at his presence. The smile he wore was genuine, and it seemed to carry a promise of comfort amidst the chaos of my life.

"I thought you'd be in tears after having to leave your room," Seunghan said with a chuckle as he reached me, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Nope," I replied, trying to muster a sense of strength. I flexed my arm, showing off my biceps in a playful display. "I'm tougher than you think."

His laughter was like a balm, soothing the rough edges of my day. We settled down on the grass together, the weight of our conversation momentarily lifted by the beauty of the evening.

"Lie down," I instructed, patting the spot next to me. Seunghan stretched out beside me, his body relaxed yet attentive.

"The sky is so beautiful right now," I murmured, my eyes drifting upwards. The sky was transforming into a masterpiece of colors—fiery oranges melding into soft pinks, the twilight painting a canvas of serene hues.

"Hmmm... It is beautiful," Seunghan agreed. I glanced over to find him not gazing at the sky but at me. His eyes were intense, and there was a softness in his expression that made my heart flutter.

"Idiot," I teased, flicking his forehead lightly. "How can you say it's beautiful when you're looking at me?"

He avoided my gaze, his cheeks flushing a deep shade of red. "I was looking at the sky too," he said, his voice slightly muffled by his embarrassment.

Seeing him blush like that made my heart swell with affection. A smile spread across my face as I noticed how endearing he looked.

"There's something in your hair," I said, moving closer without realizing how intimate the gesture was. "Don't move; I'll get it."

As my fingers brushed through his hair, I felt a jolt of electricity. I noticed the closeness between us, and my breath caught in my throat. Seunghan's eyes locked onto mine, and the world seemed to slow down around us.

Without any further hesitation, his lips met mine. The touch was tender, tentative at first, but quickly deepened into a passionate embrace. My entire body seemed to catch fire from the warmth of his lips, and the sensation left me breathless.

When we finally pulled away, the air between us crackled with a mixture of desire and confusion. My heart raced, and I found myself unable to look at him directly, afraid of the emotions that danced in his eyes and my own.

"Hyeon..." Seunghan's voice was soft, almost broken. "I'm sorry."

"No, no, there's nothing to be sorry for," I said quickly, trying to mask my own feelings of regret. "It's just... normal, right?"

He looked hurt by my words, and I felt a pang of guilt for not reciprocating his feelings. I could see the pain etched on his face, and it tore at my heart.

"You know I can't reciprocate anyone's feelings," I said, my voice trembling. "My sole reason for being here is to find Yeon." I struggled to hold back my tears, feeling deeply sorry for the hurt I was causing him. He had such a kind heart, and I hated to be the one to let him down.

"But at least we can stay friends, like before, right?" Seunghan asked, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.

"Of course, Seunghan," I said, pulling him into a comforting embrace. His shoulders shook with quiet sobs as he clung to me. "I promise I'll never leave you. I'll always be here to support you as your best friend."

"I'm sorry, Hyeon," he murmured through his tears. "Please don't leave me, even if things get tough. I'm doing all this for everyone's sake."

"I don't fully understand what you're going through, but I promise I'll never abandon you," I said, gently wiping away his tears. His smile, though still tinged with sadness, was a beacon of hope amidst the storm of our emotions.

In that moment, surrounded by the fading light of day and the warmth of our shared vulnerability, I felt a deep connection to Seunghan. Despite the turmoil and uncertainty of our lives, we had each other, and that was a comfort I desperately needed.

I'm sorry guys..This chapter is a bit poorly written. You know I'm not that very much good at writing romantic scenes. So I hope you understand.

I  first thought of writing this with Wonbin. But Seunghan just worked well.

I was waiting to ask this question. Are you team Seunghan or team Wonbin?
