Hyeon's pov

I had spent two hours brooding over Yeon's situation, feeling a deep guilt that weighed heavily on me. Determined to act swiftly and make things right, I started jotting down my thoughts in my diary:

Today, [Date] , Tuesday

Meeting Yeon

Just as I was writing, a knock at the door interrupted me. I quickly hid my diary and went to answer it.

"Are you going to let me in?" Seunghan's familiar voice greeted me with a smile.

"Of course, Seunghan. Welcome to my not-so-exciting room," I said, opening the door wider.

"Well, it's not boring. I like plain things. Yeon liked plain things too," he said, sitting on my bed. I laughed at his comment.

"No way, she's the biggest unicorn fan I know."

"She mentioned that exact thing before," Seunghan said, his expression turning serious.

"Really? I was just joking. Seems like you caught me," I replied, trying to lighten the mood.

"Shall we grab something to eat?" I suggested, hoping to change the subject.

"Did you miss lunch?" Seunghan asked.

"Yeah, I did. How about we just have some ramen?"

"Wait, I'll bring something," he said, standing up. I stopped him.

"Actually, I have some ramen cups here."

"You know it's against the rules to keep snacks in your room, right?" Seunghan said, reminding me of his role as the class president.

Noticing my silence, he added, "It's okay. I'll let it slide this time."

"I knew you were different from Wonbin," I said, and Seunghan seemed pleased.

We sat down to eat the ramen, and I took the opportunity to make small talk.

"So, how have you been? I noticed you were busy and we didn't talk much," I asked.

"Yeah, with exams coming up, I've been swamped. Can't let anyone down," he said, taking a bite.

"Totally get it. Balancing everyone's expectations is tough," I agreed.

We fell into a comfortable silence while eating.

"Hyeon," Seunghan finally said.

"Yeah?" I responded, looking at him.

"I've been thinking about this for a while," he said, pausing and meeting my gaze.

"What is it?" His intense look made me nervous.

"I had feelings for Yeon, but I want you to know that I don't anymore."

"Oh, okay," I replied, caught off guard. I wasn't sure how to react. The conversation became awkward until a knock at the door saved us from further discomfort.

"I'll check who it is," I said, heading to the door. Opening it, I was surprised to see Minyoung standing there.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, but she brushed past me, entering my room.

"Who do you think you are?" I asked, frustrated by her presumption.

"I'm Minyoung. Who else would I be?" she replied with a sassy tone.

"I know who you are, but this isn't your room," I said, trying to assert myself.

"So?" She continued unpacking her things, ignoring my irritation.

"How can you just barge in and claim this space? At least explain what's going on," I demanded, feeling my patience wearing thin.

"There's a broken wall in my room, so I'll be staying here for a few days," Wonbin explained as he entered.

"Oh, so you're here too," Minyoung said, noticing Seunghan, who was standing silently.

"Why does she have to stay here? Can't you accommodate her somewhere else?" I asked Wonbin.

"As you know, I can't host anyone because of the ranking rules," he said, trying to irritate me further.

"But there are other rooms with lower-ranked students. Why mine?"

"You're the lowest ranker, that's why," Seunghan answered.

"I hate my rank," I said, pouting and sitting on my bed.

"Can I unpack now?" Minyoung asked with a fake innocence.

"Do whatever you want," I snapped, feeling more unsettled by the situation. I left the room, feeling a sense of insecurity and frustration.
