13. FIRST OBJECT

Hyeon's pov

I woke to the sound of an unexpected announcement echoing through the school. My body ached from yesterday's fight, and I felt the heaviness of exhaustion pulling me back to sleep. 

Determined to start the day right, I forced myself to sit up in bed, tuning into the announcement.

"Attention students," Mrs. Seo's voice came through clearly, "Today will be a holiday for all, and with exams approaching, I encourage you to use this day wisely."

Relief washed over me. A day off before the exams meant I could catch up on my studying. I dragged myself out of bed, went through my morning routine, and followed the delightful aroma of breakfast to the kitchen.

Entering the kitchen, I found Eunseok and Sungchan bustling around, preparing an impressive spread. I lingered at the door for a moment, observing their coordinated efforts.

"Oh, you're up!" Eunseok greeted with a warm smile upon noticing me.

"Can you help us out, Hyeon-ah?" Sungchan requested, his hands busy with pots and pans.

"Sure thing," I agreed, nodding. "What do you need?"

"Could you wake up the others? We're almost done here," Eunseok added.

"Got it," I replied and headed out to wake everyone.

1st Room - Anton

I pushed open Anton's door and called out loudly, "Antonnn!!" The door wasn't locked, and I approached his bed, gently shaking him.

"Noona... just one more minute," he mumbled, still half-asleep. I couldn't help but chuckle at his sleepy response.

"No more minutes, Anton," I said, lightly tapping him with a pillow. Finally, he groaned and sat up, rubbing his eyes.

"Do you even know today is a holiday?" I asked.

"Oh, really? I thought it was a dream," Anton replied, sounding groggy. His reaction made me smile.

"Go wash up and join us in the dining room, okay?" I instructed. He nodded, and I moved on to the next room.

2nd Room - Eunji

Eunji's door was already ajar. I peeked inside and saw her awake.

"Oh, you're up," I said as she looked over. "Come to the dining room; there's a delicious breakfast waiting."

I left her to get ready and proceeded to the next room.

3rd Room - Sohee

Sohee's door was locked, so I tapped lightly and called out, "Sohee... breakfast is ready. Come to the dining room."

"Okay," came her muffled reply from inside.

4th Room - Shotaro

On my way to Shotaro's room, I bumped into him in the hallway.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"To the dining room. What about you?" he responded.

"To take you there," I said with a grin. We both laughed as we made our way together.

5th Room - Minyoung

Minyoung was busy doing her makeup when I entered her room.

"Why are you here?" she asked without turning around.

"Breakfast is ready; everyone is waiting," I informed her before leaving her to finish up.

6th Room - Wonbin

I knocked on Wonbin's door and opened it to find him still asleep. I tiptoed over and gently tapped his shoulder.

"Wonbin, wake up. Breakfast is ready—" Before I could finish, he grabbed my wrist, pulling me down onto the bed.

"Wonbin, what are you doing?" I whispered, my heart racing at the close contact.

"Where's my morning kiss?" His groggy voice made my pulse quicken. I felt my face flush.

"Yah! Are you crazy?" I exclaimed, quickly standing up and brushing myself off.

"Why is asking for a kiss a crime?" he teased, a smirk playing on his lips.

"I'm not Minyoung. She's busy with her makeup," I said, turning toward the door.

"Ah, everyone's waiting, so hurry up and join us," he said, chuckling as I left his room.

7th Room - Seunghan

Seunghan's room was unlocked, so I entered and found it empty. I glanced around, noticing various awards and a family photo that caught my attention. Wonbin had told me about their family situation. Seunghan's background must be challenging.

I continued exploring until I noticed a peculiar key next to some books on his study table. Curiosity got the better of me.

"It wouldn't hurt to borrow this for a while," I murmured, slipping the key into my pocket.

I hurried back to the dining room, where everyone had gathered. Seunghan was already there, and I joined the group.

"You're the last to arrive, Miss Hyeon," Shotaro teased, prompting laughter from the others. We all sat down to enjoy the breakfast, grateful for the day off.
