𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐉 sat in the front seat of her mother, 𝐃𝐀𝐖𝐍𝐄'𝐒, car. Her doe eyes observing the scenery passing by with  " 𝐁𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐄 " by 𝐉𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐈𝐊𝐎 already three minutes into playing.

Both Semaj and her mom were finishing up their hour(S) long trip from 𝐃𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐒, 𝐓𝐗 to 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐌, 𝐍𝐘.

Well, a trip isn't necessarily the word for this venture .. 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠.

That fact hadn't even registered into Semaj's mind up until two days ago at her " 𝐆𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐘 " party; where she'd say her final goodbyes to most of her family and friends.

And everything was feeling a lot more real as Semaj continued to stare out the window. She was now thousands of miles away from her former home and back at what felt like square one - not only Her birthplace, but the center of her childhood memories.

Speaking of 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒, a lot of them were now flooding back into the female's head; most of which she'd almost completely forgotten about.

Her thoughts now being cut off by the sound of her mothers soft voice asking if she was alright. " hm? " Semaj softly hummed as she turns her head to the older woman; moving her soft curls out of her face in the process.

" I asked if you were alright. " Dawne admitted as she came across a red light; stopping the car. " I'm cool. " Semaj mumbled. In reality, she just had mixed feeling about the move; and her mother sensed that.

" I can tell you aren't 100% about us moving. But it's for the better, amara. " Her mother gently reassured her. Semaj noticed how her mom addressed her by her middle name—something she would only do if she was upset or genuine; or genuinely upset

As she shifted around in her seat, Semaj could only reply  with a  " I guess ... but like-it feels like we,re just moving from one unknown place to anotha' "
as she recalled what it felt like year ago when she first came to Dallas. To Semaj, everything was feeling all — too well but not at the same time — and it was weird.
