( ₜₕᵢᵣd ₚₑᵣₛₒₙ ₒₘₙᵢₛcᵢₑₙₜ )𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐉 quickly took her phone out to make sure she at least looked presentable for the people outside the door. She fixed up a few out - of - place pieces of hair before opening up the door.
On the other side revealed a woman that looked to be close to her moms age. She was short; and had long, curly hair that looked flawless. Next to her was two lightskin boys, both taller than her. One shared her same coiled hair that was down to his shoulders; and he had on a plain white beater with black sweatpants. The other one also had long hair, but his was in braids. He had on a plain black shirt with the ' 𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐈 ' logo on it paired with black sweats. The both of them stared at Maj.
" You must be Semaj! It's been years since I,ve seen you; and you still look so pretty, cariño! " The sweet woman expressed with a small smile on her face. Her warm compliments made Semaj smile along with her, not even noticing the piercing stares that was being given to her from the two boys who stood there because they had nothing to say to her.
It seemed as though all the noise coming from downstairs grabbed the attention of Dawne, who was now making her way to the front door. As soon as she made it to the foyer and the two woman locked eyes, they hastily embraced eachother as if they'd been separated their whole lives.
Semaj stepped back from the door to allow her mom to hug the woman, who she found out was actually 𝐗𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚.
The two spent a while in the same spot catching up with eachother, paying no attention to the three teenagers that were now just staring at eachother.
Semaj was about to say a greeting before the boy in braids sucked his teeth, cutting her words off.
" No offense but this heavy ass pan of tres leches cake is fuckin' my arm up. So could you please let me and my very kind friend, David, in? " He spoke while lifting up the pan to show the female. His dominican + new york accent could be heard with every word that rolled off his tongue.
Semaj just stood there, slightly shocked. She expected him to atleast greet her before swearing at her; but she was wildly mistaken.
