𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐉 had now concluded her first week at a completely new school. Surprisingly to Maj, her days flew past smoothly, and she had hardly any complications—if any at all.
Maj lay sprawled across her spacious bed. She was on her back as she stared up at the ceiling and let her thoughts cloud her, overpowering the sounds of her background.
It was the first day of the weekend, and neither Semaj nor her mom had anything to do, so the both of them were at home as they occupied themselves inside.
The girl had contemplated going to the store, but she brushed those thoughts aside as she turned over to check on her phone that she'd left alone for a few minutes.
Upon unlocking it, Semaj caught a glimpse of a few notifications she received that she had no recollection of since she wasn't even on her device.
However, one of those notifications had came from a missed call. The call belonged to David, and Semaj mentally facepalmed herself at the thought of her forgetting to turn of ' 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐁 ' once again.
The girl saw that he called only 3 minutes ago, so she figured that she could still return the call since not a long amount of time passed by.
She clicked on the call notification, and her device rang three times before she saw ' 𝟎:𝟎𝟎 ', meaning he'd answered.
" You called me? " Maj obviously quizzed as she put the boy on speaker and had her phone next to her on her bed.
" Yea. You was on dnd tho so I left it alone. " David talked back to her. The teen was outside, and the sounds of chatter in the background were what gave it away.
" My fault . " Semaj spoke as she laughed a little to herself, thinking back to how much Dd bothered her about taking her phone off of it.
David could hear her scarce laughter, and in return he sucked his teeth before speaking again " You tryna come outside wit' us? " He asked her, earning silence in return since Maj was wondering if she genuinely wanted to.
