As mentioned in the previous chapter, the contest will be divided into seven categories. You must select a subcategory based on the number of times your story has been read.
Please review each category and subcategory carefully to ensure your story contains the applicable themes to be considered eligible. Unless a category directly specifies otherwise, your story may incorporate other subgenres (i.e., Romantic Fantasy, Historical Romance, Fanfiction Romance, etc.)

Chicklit
Who says romance has to be about loving a big, bad CEO? This category is reserved for stories featuring strong, independent women who learn to love themselves after a harsh break-up or family drama. Stories submitted to this category must feature a female protagonist.
Dangerous Love
This category is reserved for thriller romance stories featuring brooding bad boys, possessive billionaires and CEOs, exhilarating love triangles, fake fiancees, and menacing mafia bosses. If your story has mature content, it should be marked as mature.
Romance
This category is reserved for stories featuring slow-burn romances, love at first sight, mysterious bad boys, and spicy holiday celebrations. If you have any werewolf romance stories or a spicy new adult romance, please consider submitting your entries under this category.
After Dark
This category is reserved for stories with dark romance. If your story contains dominant alphas, sexy billionaires, spicy BDSM, or steamy romances with famous personalities, please consider submitting your entries under this category. Stories submitted to this category should be marked as mature.
Asian Fiction
This category is reserved for YA, NA, and Adult novels featuring Asian protagonists. These novels should address complex issues such as immigration, sexual identity, racism and discrimination, stigma around mental illness, divorce, and arranged marriages.
Stories submitted to this category must be non-Fantasy and non-Fanfiction. If you have a romantic comedy, historical fiction, or romantic mystery novel with Asian protagonists, please consider submitting your entries under this category.
Friends And Family
This category is reserved for stories about friends who stick by your side no matter what hardships you face together. If your story features the childhood-to-lovers trope and slow-burn romances, please consider submitting your entries under this category.
Historical Romance
This category is reserved for historical romance stories. If your story takes place in the past (i.e., between BCE and the 1990s), includes any time travel elements like isekai or reincarnation, or is a fantasy story taking place in an alternate universe or fictionalized past, please consider submitting your entries under this category. This category does not accept Fanfiction.

The Notable Aristocrat
This category is reserved for newly created stories that may be ongoing. To be eligible for this category, your story must contain at least 10 chapters and be published by January 1, 2024, or later.
The Invitation
This category is reserved for completed stories with less than 2,500 reads. Your publication date must be no later than December 31, 2023. Thus, we only accept completed stories posted no later than December 31, 2023.
The Grand Debut
This category is reserved for completed stories with between 2,500 and 10,000 reads. Your publication date must be no later than December 31, 2023. Thus, we only accept completed stories posted no later than December 31, 2023.
The First Dance
This category is reserved for completed stories with between 10,000 and 50,000 reads. Your publication date must be no later than December 31, 2023. Thus, we only accept completed stories posted no later than December 31, 2023.
The Lead Dancer
This category is reserved for completed stories with between 50,000 and 100,000 reads. Your publication date must be no later than December 31, 2023. Thus, we only accept completed stories posted no later than December 31, 2023.
The Finale
This category is reserved for completed stories with over 100,000 reads. Your publication date must be no later than December 31, 2023. Thus, we only accept completed stories posted no later than December 31, 2023.
