Back at the Lange Mansion, Kyoto had just taken Koji home about a day ago now. Kyoto sat on his bed hovering over his phone. During this interaction, he received Koji's phone number.
He texted Koji a few minutes ago to make sure he had gotten the number right. In that message, he decided to get a little flirty to test the waters and hopefully jumpstart their relationship.

"Hey, doll-face I was worried about you the other day how are you holding up?"

Kyoto had gotten a response almost immediately after sending it.

"I'm alright, thank you for checking up on me you flirty fuck lol," Koji responded.

Kyoto thought the way Koji responded was a little strange but decided to just go with it. "Maybe he's just like that," Kyoto thought before sending another text.

"Oh c'mon now, I can't resist checking in on someone as charming as you."

Koji left him on read. Kyoto set the phone down sighing wondering if he went too far. He shrugged his shoulders before walking into another room.

Back at Koji's home, a studio apartment he lives alone in, he sat in his room. Koji used to live in the dorms but has since moved out after getting into a fight with his now ex-roommate.

Koji sat on the bed. He had just emailed his doctor's note to his professors when he got a ping on his phone from Kyoto, who he had saved in his phone as Kyo. A flirty message, Koji took a second before responding with his own flirting. In his own rude way, he was trying to flirt. Joy knows this very well about him. Though rude as all hell, he has a good heart.
That's when Koji got hit with actual flirting. "I'm charming," he said aloud. before setting his phone down. It's not that he hated the response or didn't want to respond he just wasn't sure how to. Not over the phone anyway. He paced around his room for a good five minutes before it hit him.

"You should come over" He typed out before deciding to not send it right away. He waited a good two hours to psych himself up to actually send the dang thing. Finally, he hit send but received no response.

An hour later, Kyoto found himself standing at Koji's front door, his knuckles knocking against the metal door. Koji answered the door with a simple "Hey."

"Hey," Kyoto responded, a faint scent of motor oil clinging to his clothes, his hair tousled from wearing a helmet. He noticed that Kyoto was wearing a leather jacket and a pair of jeans to match. He had been working on an old car he was fixing up for a friend.

"I got here as soon as I saw your message," he said looking like he had just run up the stairs to get here, "Can I come in?" He asked.

Koji nodded and stepped out of the doorway. If you were to look around Koji's apartment you'd think it looked cramped and a little cluttered but not messy. Sure his mattress was unmade, he had a pile of clothes on the couch, and there was a little trash here and there but it didn't feel messy.

"Huh, so this is where you live. It's lovely."

Koji closed the door behind him. "Thanks..." Koji spoke grabbing Kyoto's wrist and leading him the the couch he had that separated the living room from the kitchen. He sat down urging Kyoto to do the same. Kyoto sits.

"About the text you sent earlier." Koji pauses taking a deep breath "Do you really think I'm charming?"

"Yes," Kyoto replied with a smile. He placed his hand above Koji's and spoke "I really like you, I find you dazzling"

Koji blushed at that. "I'm not one for relationships, but I'd like to get to know you better," he spoke avoiding Kyoto's gaze. "We're already friends and we only met last week...why rush things?"

Kyoto smiled and spoke "Then let's take it slow, the fire can burn on its own time. For now, though, I really would like to go out somewhere with you. We could go to the aquarium? Killjoy told me you like sharks yeah?"

Koji nodded when he mentioned Joy though he couldn't help but wonder when he talked to Joy. Possibly while he wasn't at school? He never really pried into Killjoy's personal life.

"No Joy likes sharks but I think they're still alright, sure let's go to the aquarium," Koji said letting a faint smile cross his face. "Think we'll get to see the penguins?"

"Absolutely we'll get to see the penguins," Kyoto said his smile growing just the littlest bit wider. "So I can pick you up in a few days? I have classes until Monday."

Koji nodded "I don't have classes that day," Koji thought for a moment before just asking him the question he's been wanting to ask all week, "Why do you take classes anyway? You are set for life are you not?"

Kyoto didn't hesitate to answer the question "Yes but I would like to do something more with my life. I want to be a lawyer so I started studying I'm in my second year now and am very excited to learn more"

Koji thought for a moment before nodding, "I understand, my dreams aren't as big as yours. I don't know what I want to do with my life." He spoke before grabbing his tiara from his bedside table. He put it on but it looked a little out of place in his pajamas. An oversized shirt and a pair of shortcuts. The shirt was so big it sagged to one side exposing his shoulder.

Kyoto stared at Koji's exposed shoulder. There wasn't anything special about it but it showed off how skinny Koji actually was. Delicate and fragile, a stark contrast to the usual facade. Koji usually wore baggy clothes to hide his frame after all.

Koji tilted his head to the side "What's up?" He asked as Kyoto was starring at him

"Nothing, don't worry about it," Kyoto responded

Koji looked to where Kyoto was looking; the...tiara? "Oh, this? I always wear it it's just something I do."

Kyoto, intrigued by Koji's admission about his tiara, decides to lighten the mood with a playful remark. "Well, it suits you," he says with a warm chuckle, gesturing towards the tiara. "Adds a touch of royalty to the room."

Koji blushed not sure what to say to that. He sat down next to Kyoto and spoke, "I whore this when we met, did you just notice?"

"No, I noticed it before I just didn't bring it up, where did you get it?"

"stole it from the Queen of England," he said grinning

"Really?" Kyoto spoke humoring him.

"No" Koji laughed "I grabbed it from a bridal shop. It was shiny and I wanted it so I took it and now I have it."

"So you stole it"

"Yup," Koji said folding his arms behind his head in a relaxed tone.
