In the middle of the day, in the middle of the school year, Koji sits down in an empty lecture hall. He got there early after skipping his first two classes. He isn't sure why he's even here, he already knows he's going to fail. Behind him comes his best friend Killjoy. His real name is "Joy Killion" but it's less fun so he has others call him "Killjoy".

Koji doesn't actually know Joy is there. He slumps over the table pulling out his laptop from his bag. He huffs as he opens it, when suddenly he finds a pair of hands in front of his eyes. Immediately he bites at them and Joy pulls back.

"Guess who?" Joy says.
"My annoying roommate?" says Koji.
"No try again it's better," Joy says.

Koji turns around. He knows exactly who is behind him but wants to play around a bit longer.

"Oh, a big fuzzy lion with a purple main?" he asks.

Joy laughs, "Oh a smart guy are we?"

"Yes we are hi Killjoy," Koji smiles and leans over to pat the chair next to him, Joy hops over the chair. He sits next to Koji and leans over him to look at the laptop. When Joy leans over Koji to look at his laptop, he notices that Koji is typing something. He peeks over at the screen and tries to get a look at what Koji is writing.

"what are you working on?" He whispers to Koji intrigued.

"A love letter to my future boyfriend obviously" he joked. "Ha but no seriously it's just a project. Something I've been working on"

Joy laughs at the joke but his ears perk up as he hears that Koji has been working on a project.

"That's neat, what's it about then?" He asks and looks over at Koji's screen again, trying to see what he's writing.

Koji smirks, keeping the details vague, "Oh, you know, a mix of mystery, adventure, and a dash of the supernatural. It's a secret for now."

Joy grins, intrigued, "Well, count me in whenever you decide to spill the beans. I'm always up for a good story."

As they exchanged playful banter, the door could be heard opening behind them. It's Kosby, the reason Koji hasn't been going to this class. He's been trying to avoid him. That arrogant jerk what does he want? Why is he here? It's still 20 minutes until class starts.

Unknown to Koji, Kosby actually thinks they're friends.

As Kosby enters, Koji's irritation is palpable. Kosby, oblivious to Koji's feelings, approaches with a friendly grin.

"Hey, Koji! Long time no see," Kosby exclaims "Missed you in class. Where have you been?"

"Avoiding you, obviously," Koji says refusing to look back at this dumb jerk's face.

"Ow oof ouch you got me! I'm dead." Kosby tilts his head back playing dead.
He hops over a bench and sits in the aisle behind Koji and Killjoy.

Joy sensing the tension watches the encounter unfold with curiosity.

Koji, suppressing annoyance, manages a forced smile, unsure how to navigate this unexpected interaction. Joy shoots Koji a questioning look, silently asking what's going on. Koji sighs and turns his head away. He pulls out his phone to text Joy but instead it gets yanked up by Jerk-wad Kosby.

"Nah-ah texting in class is rude. Plus, with your grades, you need to pay attention."

Koji growls grabbing for his phone, but it was no use. Kosby had it now.

Kyo, perched at the end of the aisle, keenly observes the unfolding drama. The sight of Kosby bothering Koji and Joy doesn't sit well with him.

His eyes narrow, and in an instant, he's on his feet, maneuvering behind Kosby. With a swift move, Kyo grabs Kosby's hand, retrieving Koji's phone from the troublemaker's grasp.

Kosby, caught off guard, looks back to find Kyo with a determined expression on his face. "What's your problem?" Kosby scoffs in protest. "We were just playing."

"Maybe you were playing," he said coldly. He hands Koji back his phone and takes his seat again.

Koji, now with his phone securely back in his possession, witnesses Kyoto's intervention with a mixture of shock and gratitude. As Kyo retreats, seamlessly blending back into the background, Koji can't help but wonder about this mysterious character who appeared.

Joy, still by Koji's side, leans in and whispers, "Hey can I borrow your homework? You did end up doing it right?"

Koji, still processing the unexpected turn of events, chuckles at Joy's casual request.

"Seriously, Killjoy? Right now?"

"Yes right now! I just opened my bag and nothing is in there! I need to start from scratch." Joy says, holding two tufts of his blonde, almost white, hair freaking out

Koji, amused by Joy's sudden panic, hands over the homework with a teasing smile. "Relax, Drama Queen. Here you go. Just don't make a habit of this."

Joy grabs the paper, relieved. "You're a lifesaver, Koji. I swear, my bag eats my homework. It's a conspiracy."

"Really? your bag is conspiring against you?"

"Yes," he says looking away to start copying down the homework.
