I'm shaken awake to find a panicked Garrison above me. I sit up looking around, noticing that it's the middle of the night.
"Elijah, honey I need you to listen to me carefully and not question any of us. Ok baby?" I rub my eyes tiredly. I can hear the twins shuffling around quickly down the hall.
"Ok" I say sleepily.
He picks up my shoes and puts them on me. Wrapping my jacket around me and zipping it up before lifting me off the bed and carrying me with him quickly to the living room where the twins wait.
"Where we going?"
"The landlord tipped us off to the police for living here as minors because I couldn't pay the rent. I'm so sorry but we have to leave before they come." Hearing that I clutch onto Garrison's shirt. "I need you to run once we get outside. Follow us and try not to be seen." I nod again beginning to chew on my lip.
The boys each have a backpack and they hand me my little one. I hold Reed's hand as we sneak down the back stairs of the apartment building and sprint across the grass toward the trail in the woods. I begin to hear sirens getting closer behind us and my legs ache from running.
Reed and Emmett run just ahead of me while Garrison stays behind with me to ensure I'm ok.
I hear shouts and look behind me to see police officers pointing their flashlights at us. The next thing I know I'm on the ground. I tripped over a big rock. My knees start to bleed and I feel wet hot tears drip down my face because of the pain and fear I'm feeling.
My brothers all come back rushing to ensure I'm ok. Garrison picking me up while I'm still balling into his shirt.
"Angel it's ok. We'll get you all fixed up soon." He says as he starts to run with me in his arms again. We've almost made it to the trail in the trees when policemen come from all directions pinning us in.
"Police! Stop moving" I hear one of them say as I cling to my bubbie.
"Ok it's ok boys. Your ok. It'll be ok" I feel his chest vibrate with every word, soothing me a bit more. Even while we're all scared Garrison always tries to make us feel better.
"You four need to come with us now." A brunette woman in an officers uniform tells us calmly.
Garrison doesn't say anything, just nods.
We begin walking back toward the apartment, this time to the front parking lot where all of the cars are.
They direct us to get into a car and we all get into the back, me sitting on Reed's lap in the middle.
I stopped crying by now, still curious as to what's gonna happen.
The lady cop gets into the drivers seat, and drives away from the apartment.
I wait for us to get there but after what I think was thirty minutes of fighting sleep, I drift off, snuggling into Reed's chest.

I hear lots of talking and people moving around when I wake up. I squint my eyes open and look around me to see that I'm laying on Garrison. My head resting on his shoulder.
Reed and Emmett sat on both sides of us.
"Where are we?" I whispered to the boys and all their heads turned to me, getting their full attention.
"I'm sorry Angel. We're at the police station." Said Garrison. I froze at those words. I opened my mouth to talk but a blonde woman walked up to us.
"Hi, my name is Karlie Green and I'm your social worker." She said with a nice smile looking to each of us. "I have attempted contact with your families. Unfortunately since you boys aren't related to Elijah you will not go back to the same home. Elijah I have contacted your father and he is more than willing to have you home." I gave her a confused look as if asking what she meant.
