Wei Ying
The sun is so bright today.. " kids!!! I'll give you half an hour to fill your baskets with lotus pods!!" I'm with the Yunmeng kids right now and my sister asked us to take some lotus pods, I took six naughty kids with me .
"Wei Ge!!" Little Tong pulled my sleeves..
"Yes!"
"Can we play in the water after we collect the lotus pods..?"
"Hmm..." I crossed my arms on my chest and looked sideways, I even twisted my lips to the side for some effects, the kid was waiting for my answer with so much tension.. then after a little while I looked at him again then smiled " sure!!!"
"Yehey!!" They yelled in unison.. I watched them carefully until they all finished with their job..
"Good job kids" I yelled and clapped to get their attention. " Now put your baskets here beside me, I'll keep watch on you while you play in the water.." the happy kids immediately run towards me and put all their basket beside the bench I was sitting, then all of them stripped off their clothes and run to the water butt naked.. "huh!! Noisy kids" I watched them carefully, this kids are sons of the Yunmeng elders, they once protected our clan from the enemies, in lotus cove everyone of us treat each other as family so these kids are like little brothers to me.. "careful, okay! Don't swim at the deep part of the water.."
They yelled back " yes Wei ge!!!"
I remembered the time when I was a little kid.. I was wondering at the market place alone, I was actually lost, and looking for our father, when a kid bump to me.. He was wearing a white gown and a head ribbon, he asked me, "why are you crying?" I told him I'm lost and looking for my father, he then held my hand and smiled at me, then he said "don't cry.." he took something on his sleeves and handed me a small wood carve bunny, it was painted white.. and it made me smile, after that I heard a yell calling my name, it's our dad with A'cheng.. that was a nice memory. I smiled as I returned from day dreaming.. come to think of it the kid from my memory looks like Lan Zhan.. maybe I'll search for that wood carve bunny later and I'll ask my Lan Zhan if he's that boy.. maybe I miss my love already, that's why I thought of those things.. I stood up, the sun is so high up in the sky now, my sister might be looking for us now..
"Kids!! Come up now!! We need to get back now..hurry.." as the kids run towards me one by one they picked there clattered clothes, and put it on their selves..when something caught my eyes.. A boat.. do we have delivery from another city..? But the boat looked empty, I walked closed to the port and put my hand above my eyebrows, as the boat came closer I recognized the man maneuvering the boat.. the man then turned his head inside the covered part of the boat and talked to someone inside, a man stood up, he was wearing white robe, he looked ethereal, he's my Lan Zhan..
"Kids.. take your baskets then leave first I have a visitor to attend to.." I yelled at them not taking my eyes off the man I've been missing for a while now .. "Damn!!! He's so darn handsome!! I'm so lucky he's mine..."
"Lan Zhan!!" I waved at him... Big smile plastered at my lips... Finally the boat gets to the port and Lan Zhan get down from it, I run beside him, I almost hugged him, when I saw the man behind him.. I restrained myself from doing so, no one knows we are an item..
"Wait Wei Ying.." Lan Zhan said, he turn to the man and from his money pouch he took a gold nugget and gave it to the man..
"Woah... This is too much young man.."
"You deserved that, thank you for your kindness.." he smiled and left the man.. he returned to me and stared at me lovingly then he mouthed "I miss you.." I smiled back, my heart is pounding so hard againts my chest..
