As he says that, my eyes widened. "What? We're going out?" I question as I sit up.
"Yes we're going out since you didn't get to see what's going on outside." Meadows says.
"As in outside the house?" I asks him. "Yes! Since we felt bad for you, we thought that you need to see the city!" He says.
" I mean how does it look like?" I ask. "You'll see!" Meadows says as he smiles. "But why couldn't I see the outside since I was a child?" I question him. " uhh... we wanted to keep you safe." He says as he scratched the back of his neck. " safe from what?" I question as I cross my arms.
He sighs "Fine I will tell you! There was a man who wanted to hunt down our family and you especially because you are the only young women in the city who is rare!" Meadows says as his gaze softened. At that moment I was speechless I didn't know what to say. "Okay okay we will discuss this later!" I say .
"Yeah we will talk after we come back." Meadows says as he gets up. He walks out and I sit there in disbelief because why would someone take a child from another persons family? I get up and walk to closet to pick out something but I couldn't figure out what to wear.
"Alex!" I yell from my room. "Yeahhh!" He yells from his room. "Can you please come to my room it's urgent there's a snake in my room!" I yell and I giggle softly. He comes in running with a gun in his hand. " where the snake?" He says out of breath while looking around the room. "Uhm...I don't know what to wear." I say as I scratch the back of my neck.
"Seriously,Camilla?" He says as he places the gun on my dressing table and walks towards my closet. He picked out a dress that was black I think because we were going to a fancy restaurant. "This?" I say as I point at the dress. "Yes!" He says as he throws the dress on my face. "Idiot!" I yell at him as he walks out of the room.
I finally dress and I walk out wearing Nike Air Force's under my dress since nobody will see. I was dying in that dress. The dress had see through arm sleeves and the rest was fully black. We arrive at the restaurant and it was oddly crowded with people wearing all black. The next thing as we entered I couldn't believe my eyes.
