chapter 6: Like A Huntsman

Chaos was forming; students and teachers were scattering in all directions, trying to escape the relentless onslaught of Grimm. The once peaceful grounds of Beacon had turned into a battlefield, with screams and roars filling the air. 

As it was going on, music was faintly being played in the background, getting the grimm's attention as they saw headlights approaching from a distance. The music grew louder, accompanied by the sound of revving engines.

Suddenly, the car bashed into a group of Grimm, sending them flying in all directions. Out stepped V as 'Archangel' played from the car.

"Let's dance!" he said as he pulled out Johnny's pistol.

The grimm then lunged towards V, but he swiftly dodged their attacks with his agile movements.

V then used his spinal implant to expel ice dust to blast the Grimm back, freezing them in their tracks. V then opened fire with Johnny's pistol, taking down the frozen Grimm one by one.

As the last Grimm fell to the ground, V's eyes scanned the area for any signs of more enemies, a nevermore suddenly swooped down from above, screeching loudly. V quickly leaped out of the way, narrowly avoiding its sharp talons.

As he was about to shoot it, he looked at his monowire implant in his wrist, giving him an idea.

V quickly activated his monowire implant, launching it towards the nevermore. Instead of the wire slicing through the nevermore's flesh, it wrapped tightly around its leg which pulled V up into the air. 

V struggled to regain control as the nevermore flapped its wings furiously, trying to shake him off. 

With a burst of strength, V held on tight till he saw the other nevermore pecking at the shield above the colosseum, which he remembered. "Pyrrha!" V shouted, realizing that Pyrrha could be frozen in shock from accidentally killing Penny.

He released his grip on the monowire and fell towards the colosseum below, relying on his acrobatic skills to maneuver through the air.

As he descended, V desperately through the grimm infested sky.

As he descended, V used his monowire to lasso to grimm to grimm to slow his fall.

As he swung through the air, V's heart pounded in his chest. He had to reach Pyrrha before it was too late.

As he got close to the colosseum he lassoed to an edge to land, but he got hurt on the way down.

"shit," V said as he inhaled a maxdoc to alleviate the pain. Despite the injury, V pushed through, determined to save Pyrrha from whatever danger awaited her inside the colosseum.

As he battled to go the opposite way of the fleeing people he saw Pyrrha frozen in fear on the arena floor.

He then looked up to see the nevermore pecking at the shield, seeing the shield flicker with each peck.

He then used his cybernetic legs to hop down into the arena to save Pyrrha, which he saw Jaune have the same idea.

Just before he could the nevermore struck through the shield, shattering it into pieces, which it landed sending Pyrrha, Jaune and V back.

"V get up!" Johnny said.

V struggled to his feet, his body aching from the impact. He could see Pyrrha and Jaune lying motionless on the ground, their bodies battered and bruised.
