"So for my next trick, I will require the participation of one lucky audience member." Lyney said. "Please, my assistants could bring out the magical boxes now... There are two boxes, and inly two boxes. One is here, and one is there in aisle among the audience" He continued while looking at the boxes. When he looked at the second box a light lit up on the box making everybody turn there. "I'm sure many of our clever audience members have already guessed our next magic trick. A swap!" The magician started. "Our lucky audience member and I will each enter a magic box. After one minute, we will each emerge from the opposite box." He explained. "Now please, everyone pack very close attention to the box you see here. Don't give me any chance to make a move!" The ash blond haired male added.

"Wow! How's he gonna do this?" Paimon said excitedly while watching the great magician. She then turned to the two traveler. "Hey, do you think this is all magic tricks, or does Lyney have actual superpowers?" She said like the little kid she is. "I'm sure we can spot how he does it." Aether said almost scoffing. "Let's watch and see." Y/n said looking back to the magician. While all that happening she didn't know that the Chief Justice was watching her instead of the show in front of him. He felt really confused about the feeling he felt for the first time in his live. It's an unknown feeling which felt stronger every passing second. The only thing that he knows is that he liked this feeling.

"The lucky audience member will be generated by this random number selector." Lyney said while pointing at it. "It selects entirely at random. Even I don't know who will be chosen to participate." He added while crossing his arms. "Now then let's begin." Lyney pulled the handle of the selector making it after some time choose a random number. "Ah, let me see... row seven, seat three. Congratulations! You now have the chance to experience magic firsthand for an entire minute!" He said after looking at the number. The woman who got chosen stood up. "Please, come forward. My assistant will take you beside the magic box." The great magician said. The assistant walked over to the female and then walked over to the stage with the woman following behind him. "I'm sorry, it might be a little cramped inside, but no need to feel nervous. We've carefully arranged everything for you to be as comfortable as possible." Lyney said after the door of the box opened. "You don't need to do anything. But no matter what strange things may happen, don't come out of the box. If the magic is interrupted, who knows where you might end up? You might even find yourself in the Fortress of Meropide." He said to the chosen person. "Oh, okay..." The woman said nervously while nodding her head. "Alright, before I enter the magic box, there is one more thing I need to ask the audience to do. Could you all give me a countdown?" The magician asked the audience. "Like this... Sixty, fifty-nine, fifty-eight... Just keep counting down. You can go a little faster or slower if you like." He added giving an example. "I won't be able to see anything in the
pitch-black box , so I'll be relying on your voices to know when time is up. Oh, and no tricks now. If you quickly count from sixty in just thirty seconds then I'll be in a tough spot." He once again added.

"Ooh, Paimon kinda wants to count faster after hearing him say that, hehe..." Paimon excitedly said. "I'm sure Lyney's prepared." Y/n said chuckling. Hearing her chuckle made the Chief Justice's heart rate quicken. He never heard such a beautiful laugh before.

"No, no that won't do... I can see it in your eyes, you still can't be trusted! Let's practice together." Lyney said and then started to count down while the crowd repeated after him. "That's right, perfect! Keep it going! Alright, I'll see you all on the other side once you've finished counting." The ash blond haired male said happily.

Paimon started to count down but then stopped and looked at Neuvillette. "Why aren't you counting, Neuvillette?" The floating child asked the male next to Y/n who was still staring at the female. He quickly looked away from Y/n after hearing Paimons voice. His cheeks turned a little red while his breath quickend feeling embarrassed and nervous. He fake coughed. "I'm counting in my head. I think things are exciting enough in here as it is." The male quickly said coming up with an excuse. "Merely a consequence of my identity and personality. Do not worry about me. Just enjoy the show." He added. "Oh, alright. You looked so serious that Paimon thought you might be feeling uncomfortable or something." Paimon said believing the lie.

The crowd was counting in the background loudly while Lyney was in the box. His assistant that was next to the box asked if he was okay and if everything was ready. The magician said the he was fine and that he was just double checking the direction of the magic because it would be a disaster if he and the chosen audience would get send to the wrong places.

"Even though he's saying that, Lyney doesn't seem nervous at all." Paimon to the two traveler. "I think it's part of the show." Y/n said while shrugging.

Suddenly a bang was heard. "Huh!? What was that noise? Did you hear it, too?" Paimon said startled. "Did it come from the stage?" Y/n asked while Aether just said. "Maybe it was just to divert our attention." "Not sure... Anyway, it doesn't seem like anyone's worried about it." The floating child said after looking around. The crowd was still counting.

The assistant looked at the box. "What's wrong, Mr. Lyney? I can still hear you moving in there." He said to the male inside the box. "I seem to have knocked over a decoration. I'm trying to fix it, but it's pitch black in here, I can't tell left from right." Lyney explained. "Never mind the decorations, there's no time for that. The show is what's important." The assistant said quickly. "No that's unacceptable, I want my show to be perfect. Don't worry, we still have twenty seconds. Hear them counting?" The great magician said while the crowd was still counting. "Ah, it seems things aren't quite going as planned. I apologize, everyone." Lyney apologized from inside the box. "It feels like you're all starting to count faster, but that's alright. I know it can be tiring to do such a loud countdown." He added noticing the crowd was getting faster in counting. "Ten seconds and change is still plenty of time." Lyney said.

The crowd was now counting down from ten. "Almost there now... Whew, swapping two people is harder work than you might think. Even a master magician like me can't guarantee I'll get it right the first time..." Lyney said while still in the same box. "Hey, wait! Is this the back one? I can't tell... They both look the same inside! Huh nope, that's not it. I'll try again..." He added while the audience started laughing at that. and then continued counting down from seven. "Hey, slow down! Honestly..." The ash blond haired male yelled. The still continued counting happily. Suddenly the door of the box that Lyney was in opened and inside it this time was... Lyney. He was still in there. "Uh... Whoops! That doesn't count!" The magician said while his assistant quickly closed the doors of the box.

The crowd finally got to zero now excitedly looking at the box on the stage. Suddenly a light turned on on the other box next to the audience making everyone look at it. The door slowly opened which made Y/n stand up and look at box.

From inside of it Lyney steps out which made everyone clap their hand loudly in amazement. While the magician laughed a little and then pointed at the other box in which he was in before he was in the other box. Everyone looked at the box. Y/n, Aether, Paimon and Neuvillette looked to the box now too.

Suddenly the water tank from the first trick came flying down and hit the box on the stage making it fall apart.

The crowd gasped loudly. Y/n looked at the now completely broken box in shock while Paimon did so too. Aether out of reflex put his hand in front of Y/n in a protective manner while Neuvillette took her hand and held it tightly. "What happened!?" Paimon said with wide eyes in worry. A white, red mask slowly came from the broken pieces of the box. Lyney looked with wide eyes to the scene shocked himself.
