The brief adjournment ends, and the nail-biting trial reconvenes.

"Both parties have returned to their positions. Let us continue the trial." Neuvillette said and then continued to talk. "When last we left off, Mr. Lyney acknowledged the new evidence presented by Lady Furina as fact. Therefore, Lady Furina may continue stating her reconstruction of the events."

Furina was smiling with crossed arms and then started talking. "That took long enough. Now then, if everyone would lend me their attention." She said while putting her arms out. "At this stage, let's revisit that scene from Lyny's perspective." She added while pointing at him.

After the Hydro Archon was done explaining neuvillette spoke. "Does the defendant's side have any objections to Lady Furina's description of the events?" He asked the others which made Paimon start talking.

After she was done she sighed in relief and then turned around to Y/n and Aether. "Whew, Paimon did it! Paimon actually managed to say all that. Wasn't it awesome?" The flying child asked the two.

"In other words, you believe that he knew nothing of the incident?" Furina asked with her hand on her chin. "That's right." Paimon said with her arms crossed. Y/n and Aether had their arms crossed too. "Moreover, I believe my opposition's reasoning is flawed." Y/n said which made Furina nervous. "Huh? M-My reasoning?" She stuttered out. "The onstage equipment was clearly tampered with in a premeditated fashion." Y/n said in a serious tone. "However, you say that Cowell bumped into Lyney by chance." Aether added. "If that's the case, then if Cowell hadn't entered the tunnel, who was the entire setup meant to kill?" Paimon also added. "Assuming that what you say is true, Lyney only needed to kidnap the young girl to cause a new disappearance case. What would the point of killing someone onstage be?" She said making Y/n and Aether nod.

"Oh, they have a point..." One of the Audience members approved. "Haha, that's right, you tell them! And that's why they're partners of mine. They've managed to turn things around!" Navia said watching them proudly.

"W-Well. Your denial is very strident, I'll give you that! But what proof do you have to back your claims." Furina said gaining back her confidence. "Do you happen to remember... How you refuted Lyney's alibi initially?" Y/n asked her. "Of course I do. If he had been in the magic box the whole time, how could he have not heard the sound? Why do you ask?" The Hydro Archon asks back cockily. "Ah. You're saying that he wasn't..." She suddenly said while putting her hand on her chin. "Your claim has now become my weapon." Y/n said which made Paimon turn to her. "Are you sure we don't need to give this more thought? Paimon thinks there's something off here..." She said unsure but then the h/c haired female explained the flying child everything which made Paimon turn back around. "That's right! Lyney wasn't in the box or in the tunnel. That's why he didn't hear anything strange during the performance. This means that when the crime happened, Lyney had already entered the basement via the vent" Paimon said loudly and then looked directly at Furina with crossed arms. "The same clue you used to disprove his alibi has now become the best proof. Hehe, how do ya like that?" She said mockingly.

"Well played!" While standing up Navia said happily. 'Tch... To think you'd use such logic...' Furina said while looking at Y/n. "W-Well then! If it wasn't Lyney who committed the crimes, then who was it?" Furina asked.

"The murderer was... Cowell." Y/n said to Paimon and Aether which made them shocked and confused. "Huh? That can't be right. Are you serious?" Paimon asked in confusion and then turned back to the audience and the others. "Um, the killer was, in fact, Cowell, the deceased!" Paimon said while Y/n nodded. "Hehe, is that so? How interesting. Let's hear your reasoning, then." Furina said in a mocking tone gaining back all her confidence making Y/n go deep into thoughts.
