Chapter one

"Moving to sunny LA."

All Letty Diaz had ever known was moving from one place to another and the only other thing beyond that, that she knew was how to get in trouble from one place to another seeming to cause trouble wherever she went and grow her juvenile record, where unknowing to her, her mom and grandmother always worried about her because with the way she acted out, it made her just like her father, although Letty and her twin brother Miguel have know idea he exists so they just keep that part of it to themselves.

Where finally after traveling for so long, they had made it to the next place they would be living for who knows how long that happened to be in not the nicest neighborhood called Roseda, where they were living in a much less nicer apartment complex as the car came to a stop "where here!" their mom voiced, as Letty looked out the window and grimaced "here?" she asked, seeing as it was even more of a downgrade then the last place they stayed at "it's looks great, mom." Miguel told her, as Letty quickly turned, punching him in the arm "mamas boy." she told him, as Miguel winced, rubbing his arm.

Their grandma then did the sign of the cross from the passenger seat as their mom sighed "you two no fighting, your gonna give your grandmother a heart attack." she shared, as Letty scoffed, turning and opening the door, she got out of the car and went to shut the door as Miguel followed her out of it, stopping the door from closing, the two walked to the trunk and opened it, pulling out boxes, their mom got out of the car along with their grandma and began heading toward's the apartment that was there's.

As Miguel and Letty followed them with a couple boxes, their mom and grandma headed inside as the two followed them in "see? There's a kitchen, a dinning room. The living room." their mom pointed out, as Letty and Miguel put the boxes down "do we at least get our own bedrooms? Cause I will not have a social life like you want me to if I'm sleeping in the same room as my twin brother or my grandmother at fifteen years old!" Letty voiced, as Miguel furrowed his brows "we've always shared a room." he said, as her mom sighed "Letty, you will have your own room, okay?" she asked her, as Letty shrugged, turning around and walking out to the car to grab more boxes, as Miguel turned and followed her out to help her.

And soon they had brought all the boxes in their car inside, as they were unpacking it all, their mother was checking the sink, although as she did, it wouldn't turn on as she huffed "Miggie, Letty!" she voiced, as Letty got up from the boxes and walked over to her mom, as Miguel quickly got up following her "yes, mom?" Letty asked her "can you two go out and see if you can find somebody to talk to about the water, the sinks not working?" their mom asked them, as Letty smiled "sure, mom." she told her, turning around and walking out and as she did, Miguel turned quickly following after her.

The two headed out of the house and stopped in the doorway, Miguel furrowed his brows "who are we gonna talk to? It seems like nobody lives here?" he asked, as Letty motioned to the car across the way "well, there's a Pontiac firebird over there so I'm guessing unless our neighbor across the way is dead, that they'll hopefully be of assistance." she shared, and as she did, the sound of a door opening and closing filled their ears, as Miguel hit her on the arm "there he is." he told her.

As Letty turned seeing the older man across the way, she furrowed her brows "he doesn't seem like the guy who'd want to talk to anyone and look at him?" she asked, motioning to him "I'm sure if he shaved he'd be hot but right now he kind of looks like someone from a serial killer documentary." she shared, as Miguel shrugged "wouldn't hurt to try." he told her, heading over to the guy with the tool box, as Letty shook her head "emphasis on serial killer." she told him, following after him so he didn't make a fool of himself.
