He stared at the notes as tears welled in his eyes, the droplets hitting the bunches of "letters" that Sirius had sent his mother.
"This isn't true" he told himself, "this is fake" he tried again, his hands balling into fists, crushing the paper between them. 'Siri doesn't hate me' he thought, he tried so hard to convince himself that he doesn't, but the letters seemed real and genuine.
And he knows how much he doesn't like his mother. "He does care me for me" he whispered one more time, as he used the paper to wipe his eyes.
"Regulus?" Hummed a voice, this time it wasn't his own. He turned to find the one and only Barty Crouch. He didn't dare touch regulus, in the little amount of time he had known him, he had learnt a lot.
"What do you want?" He said coldly, then froze, he sounded like his mother, and god did he hate it. "You're crying, what's the matter?" Barty sat next to him his body leaning against the cold, stone wall of the bridge.
"Nothing just, go away" he scowled, burying his head into his knees as his eyes stung badly. "Evan is looking for you" Barty tried again. "Evan can go cry about it" he mumbled, he knew he was acting like a child, his mother would punish him if she was here.
And if he read regulus' mind, "I'm not your mother, Regulus" he said quietly, waving over to his blonde friend. "Shut up" regulus groaned back.
The eleven year old boy sat there, curled up as he heard the "famous" group of four walk past, as they past the three boys the were quiet, Barty slowly put his hand over the younger boy, giving him a sideways hug, regulus didn't move, but didn't push him away.
He missed Sirius, he wanted to talk to him, about what his mother is claiming, but then again the letters they seemed so...
Real.
