pushing water

"Sometimes I drown, even in the air".

Sometimes I drown even in the air

When everyone's there

When someone asks me if I'm ok

"You good?"

"How are you?"

And I have nothing to do but smile

My lips feels as if they are being pulled at the

Corners by a string stretching ugly

I muster up a "I'm ok." With force

But my throat I have to swallow now

And then of whatever it is

Because if I don't, I'll choke on this air

Sometimes I drown even in the air

When I have nowhere to go but to be

here

That feeling when you want to leave

But things keeps you back

People

Jobs

Money

School

Even home

How funny

So you stand with your head afloat not

underwater on land with noise and the

Chaos creating a tornado around you

Luring you in with sweet and

unwelcome voices whispers in the dark

Of Corners you can also hear them in

Light of bright day

Sometimes I drown even in the air

When you no longer wait for that ring

That calms the waves crashing in your

Your rib cage, when

The voice on the other side repeats the

same familiar line that aways seem to

bring sinking after it has bought you

Afloat

So you no bother reach out you calm

your own waves save yourself in the

long run the way of pushing water.
