Author's Note:
Hello my Lovely Hearts. This year thanks to a past post or two on Instagram on the subject and the suggestion of a dear friend of mine, I decided to write an Untamed / MDZS Lunar Zodiac Fanfic. Because it's me I also decided to write it in the correct Lunar Zodiac order instead of from the Year of the Rabbit or Dragon since that's not far away. Because of this the actual year's Zodiac will only come out in May, although that's a pretty fitting month for other reasons depending on where you live ^^
Because I want to stay in the proper order of the Zodiac I will be posting each chapter once a month, so it will be a year long project.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Untamed or Mo Dao Zu Shi, or any form of it. If I did there would be a Xicheng sequel for sure. But outside of the original text the rest is my own work.
Important Note 1: In these Lunar New Year posts I focused on the personality traits of the characters and the Zodiac animals rather than worried about the order of years, so if you find yourself being like how is Zizhen older than the others but not by like 12 years but also the last Zodiac animal, it's simply the power of fanfiction XD. In real life if you're only a couple of years apart your animal zodiacs would not be too far away, but for entertainment and personality purposes based on Characterizations the ages don't matter here. And the juniors ages as well as relationships will be all over the place so consider each chapter all oneshots even if there ends up being a running gag at any point XD If you can suspend your disbelief in this way than I hope you can see why everyone is where they are and enjoy it ~
Important Note 2: This is a Lunar New Year's Special AU, so some events have happened from the original story, but most of them have not. In this most of the characters are still alive most of the time. This story is for fun and for celebrating Lunar New Year. It should be pretty easy to follow what needs to be followed as long as you consider each chapter its own AU.
Special Request: For those who read this I'm a bit curious about what you're Lunar Zodiacs are! Check your year and be careful if you're a January or February baby because you might find out you're an entirely different Zodiac than you think depending on when Lunar New Year was your year!
When you know your Zodiac comment in this Author's note and if you read long enough also comment in the year of your Zodiac so I can keep better count!
You can still comment in other chapters even if it's not your month, but if it IS your month just start your comment with "Hi, I'm year of the Rat" etc... I will include my own Zodiac in the Author's note when mine comes up. Consequently it is also my birth month when I'll be posting that one so it's even extra special for me.
