Courtney's POV:
As I put on my clothing for school, I look at myself in the mirror. What am I doing? I think to myself. I look ridiculous trying to impress people! Why am I even trying?! I sigh and sit down on my bed then start putting on shoes. I stand up and then grab my bag. It was a coffee brown backpack and it was super cute! I look around for my parents who weren't in the house. "Mom? Dad? I'm leaving for school," I shouted as I walked out the door. I fidgeted with my hair and curled it with my fingers. I walk towards my school with my head up. What am I going to say? What will I do? Are there nice people? I'm just going to stay silent! That'll help. Maybe? Actually.... no. I'm going to talk to someone! I thought in my head as I arrive at the high school. I take a deep breath as I walk in then exhale as I pass by students. They wore casual clothing and nothing formal. I thought my outfit was too formal for a high school. I wore green leggings and a tanish shirt under a gray vest. The bell rang then everyone dashed away. I groaned as I walked all the way to class then I walked into the class. Eyes dart right to me and stare deep into my soul. You have to be kidding me. I look around at the faces with a sheepish smile. The teacher walks in and goes straight to the front of the class. "Good morning. I am your teacher for the rest of the year and I am Mrs. Ellens. Please get out a piece of lined paper and write something about yourself that you want others to know," The teacher spoke with a tired yet professional tone. She wore a black skirt with a tied white top. She had her amber hair down in beachy waves. I sat down next to a blonde head girl who wore a blue cropped jacket with blue jeans. She had brownish eyes. She looked over at me with a smile and held her hand out. "I'm Bridgette Summers," she had a soft voice. "Courtney Satella," I said as I shook her hand. "I'm assuming you're fresh meat? I gotchu! Been in this school since 7th. It's 7th-12th," she sighed then turned her body facing me and crossed her legs. "Yeah, I'm new. You're a freshman, right?" I asked questionably. "Yup. Everyone in here is. I'm surprised Duncan actually moved up," she chuckled and smiled. "Duncan?" I asked. "Duncan Tarun. The delinquent," she pointed at the green and blacked haired boy. I looked at the boy with a questioning look. He seemed already bad news. It was bold and in red. He looked at my way and stared at me for a bit. The eye contact was real. Ha! As if.. I think to myself and look away quick. He leaned back to see me better and I heard him chuckle. No love, Courtney. Pass with A's, graduate, get into college, become a lawyer. I repeat in my head. "Oh? Is Miss Satella catching feelings for Mr Tarun?" She smirked and giggled a bit. "Bridgette!! Don't say that out loud. Plus, I'm not even into bad boys like that. They are bad news and just will ruin your life and heart! Basic knowledge," I scoffed and shrugged. "Bad boy or not. I call dibs on that cute blonde over there with the hat!" She smiled and stared at him. I laughed and look over at the boy. "He's all yours, Bridgette."
