Chapter 8: Xoxo, Courtney.

Duncan's POV:

"Could you love me instead of all the boyfriends you got?"
- Kiss it off me (CAS .)

I obviously know the chick loves me. It's obvious to everyone. Courtney ain't my type buttt shittt, don't get me started on her. I wouldn't say im in love with her because first we just reunited and even if we had feelings for each other, I don't think I would be ready yet.

Oh.

I sound so gross having a crush, don't I? I probably sound like them fan girls..

I mean she's not famous or nothin so it's not fan girlish.

How can I confess to her even if I wanted too? What would i say? She's like a special type of girl do if I wanted to date her, I would have to ask in some special way!

Ew.

"I like you, I guess."

Those words made my heart jump, run around, flip around, and beat faster. She said it in such a soft and attractive voice..

"You do!?"

I obviously responded with..

"I guess so. I mean sure yeah.."

A bit tempted to speak but the words flew out of her mouth and smoothly through her lips.

"Well not sure if it'll change anything, but I like you too."

I replied with a shaken expression. She let out a soft chuckle.

"Oh! Uhm.. im not sure where this goes on from here.."

She laughed nervously and looked up at my eyes. Her gaze so soft yet so confident. Her eyes shined like the moon reflected off of the dark lake.

"I'm not sure either but im tempted to say something I wanna say but.."

My trail of thought flew out of my brain...

No way im falling for her already!?!?

I looked into her gaze that made me feel warm and fuzzy..

UGHHH??!

"Duncan.."

"Courtney, I won't accept no.."

I did accidentally say?

"Courtney, for as long as I knew you, I had a smalll crush?"

She stared at my eyes still. Her gaze turned into a foggy cloud.. her eyes watered?

"Duncan, I like you a lot but-"

"Courtney, will you wanna ever like..??"

I broke the contact and turned away.

"Yeah. I would like that.."

I struck up and looked at her with a smirk.

"Did the stuck up princess say yes to being my girlfriend??"

I smirked and chuckled.

"Shut up, Tarun. I'll change my mind any second."

She smiled and playfully pushed me a bit. It was nice. It felt like we were 6 again.

"Sorry, my princess. Forgive my mistakes.."

I lended out my hand and she grabbed it.

"I'll forgive you."

She smiled at me and I smiled back. She looked so pretty.

STOP DUNCAN.

"I think I gotta get going.. it's getting late."

She says and gets up.

"You sure?"

"Yeah! Don't worry. I'll send my little messenger birds to give you the message."

She laughed as she walked as I followed.

"Be safe, princess."

She smiled and hands me a note.

"Bye Tarun."

She spoke as she left. I open up the note to reveal the cursive handwriting.
