Dream || chapter 15

Robin came back in black pants and a black and red sweater that had the batman symbol on it, Wally then came out of his room with a white tank top on and grey sweatpants, the younger seemed distracted by the speedster but tried to hide it the best he could so that the speedster or the other two wouldn't tease him about it later.

"you seem distracted, whats wrong?" asked Batman even though he knows why, he just wanted to tease the younger, "im fine, just a bit tired." replied the younger as he crossed his arms and looked away for a moment, "alright, just making sure your okay." said Batman as he put his arms up as if surrounding and he smiled slightly as he chuckled, the other two smiling.

"Bruce, why do you act cold when around the team but when your with us two you don't?" asked the speedster curiously, the younger looked at him with the same look, "well i know you guys better, and i trust you two a little more than them." said Batman as he uncrossed his arms and did gestures, the two nodded at the same time, making Black Canary smile.

"well i should get going, Alfred is probably going yell at me again for not coming back before midnight." said Batman as he stood up, Black Canary laughed as she stood up aswell, "alright, bye Bruce." said Black Canary as she smiled, the man went towards Robin and Wally, "bye Bruce, hope you survive." said the younger with a playful smile as he hugged the man.

"bye Dick and bye Wally." said Batman as he walked away to the zeta tubes and he disappeared, "im off to bed now, make sure not to stay up to late, okay?" said Black Canary as she yawned and left to her room, "night Canary." said the younger just as she left, the younger was walking to his room, the speedster following after him in a hurry.

"what now?" asked the younger as he turned around to face the speedster, who softly pushed him on the bed and hovered over the younger, making him blush and look away flustered, "aw, is my little birdie flustered?" whispered the speedster in the younger's ear with a smile, "n-no.." mumbled the younger as he squirmed and turned his head away from the speedster.

the speedster chuckled and let go of the younger and sat up, the younger sat up aswell and he crossed his arms in embarrassment, "im bored." said the speedster as he laid down, the younger just stared at him before laying down with him, the speedster smiled and hugged the younger and brought him closer, the younger was startled by this at first but soon relaxed.

"i guess your taking a nap." said the younger as he turned to look at the speedster, who nodded and brought the younger impossibly closer, the younger scoffed, "if you bring me any closer than i'd be laying on top of you." said the younger as the speedster smiled before bringing the younger closer so that he was laying on top of him, just like the younger had said.

"you should probably sleep too, you need to get your sleeping schedule back on track again." said the speedster as he closed his eyes and hugged the younger by his waist, the younger blushed as he listened to the speedster and closed his eyes too, slowly falling asleep in the speedster's hold, who was already sleeping away.

2 HOURS LATER

it was around midnight when Robin suddenly woke up from a dream he had, which it wasn't necessarily a good one but he didn't want to wake up Wally, although it was kind of late for that since the speedster was staring at him with tired but worried eyes, "birdie, whats wrong?" asked the speedster tiredly, "its almost midnight, why are you awake?" said the speedster as the younger looked away.

"i had a dream again, except it wasn't about Bruce.." said the younger as he looked back at the speedster, "what was it about?" asked the speedster softly as he sat up, the younger sitting up aswell and he inhaled deeply, "well it was about you and the team, at first i thought that i was just recalling something from a past mission." said the younger, the speedster only nodded for the younger to continue.

"but i noticed something, you were being closer and more- i don't know, protective of me." said the younger, the speedster hoped it isn't what he thinks it is, "one of the villains were fighting with me and winning, and just as soon as they were gonna finish me, you came running in, you almost killed them but i stopped you." said the younger as he looked down at the bed, his voice soft and gentle.

the speedster stayed silent for a moment, not knowing what to say to the younger, so he just hugged him and brought the younger on his lap, letting him wrap his legs around the speedster's hips, cradling him like a child would their parent almost, the younger rested his head on the speedster's shoulder and sighed, the speedster hugged the younger by his waist tightly, not wanting to let go.
[ i couldn't think of anything for an example- 😭 ]

"i would never do that, okay birdie?" whispered the speedster as he looked at the younger, who nodded and they both laid down, trying to go back to bed since it was already almost 2 in the morning and they needed sleep, and soon enough they fell back asleep cuddling eachother, the younger holding onto the speedster tightly, as if he's afraid that he'd leave him.
