Three Words Is All I Need || chapter 10

"what are you doing.." the archer continued her sentence as they walked in and looked around his room, it was basically covered with paintings and drawings of either him and Robin or just the younger in them, "whoa." mumbled Megan in amazement, "you caught me." said Wally as he smiled awkwardly and grabbed the back of his neck in slight embarrassment.

[ pretend the pictures/posters are of Wally and Dick or just Dick and some are drawings and paintings- 👍 ]

"you painted and drew all of these?" said Artemis in shock as they all looked around Wally's room, "yeah, birdie's basically in my mind 24/7 and i decided to put my art skills to good use, so i drew him." said the speedster as he looked up at the three, the younger looked around and couldn't help but blush, he was glad the lights were orange so that the others couldn't see his red face.

"well looks like my question or questions has been partially answered." said Artemis as she smiled and looked at the younger and speedster, they both looked confused and looked at her but mostly the speedster was confused since he wasn't in the kitchen with them so he didn't know what was going on or why they were in his room.

"what i mean is that boy wonder is your sugar baby and since your broke you pay him with paintings and drawings, plus your undying love for him." said Artemis as she shrugged and went to take a closer look at the drawings and paintings, the speedster then made an O shape with his mouth and nodded in understanding, not really bothered by the fact that she knows their once was secret.

"i like this one, its pretty." said Megan as she smiled softly and pointed at a painting of Robin when he was younger and first working with Batman, the other three looked at the painting, the younger blushing and Artemis just smirked, "me too, and i also have more if you want to see them." said the speedster as he went to his closet and opened it and grabbed a big box, then another one.

"you have two whole boxes of drawings?" said Robin kind of surprised, "no, i have more at my parents house, i only brought these two here since i can hang these up somewhere." said Wally as he opened the boxes and took some out, the others looked quite shocked at the speedster's answer.

"well i can hang some up in my room." said the younger as he looked at a drawing of him and the speedster together, "look Robin, Wally drew you with a little flower crown!" said Megan with a smile as she held up a drawing of the younger wearing a flower crown on his head, "i remember that, we made eachother matching ones, then you lost yours." said the younger as he looked at the drawing, the speedster nodded as he looked at it too.

"whats this one?" asked Artemis confused as she pulled out a red and a blue drawing of Robin, "for this one it depends on what light, here i'll show you." said Wally as he changed his light color to red, showing only the red drawing which was of the younger smiling, "whoa." mumbled the archer as she looked at the drawing, "aw, your smile is so cute!" said Megan with a smile as she looked at the younger, who continued to look at the drawing of himself.

"and here's the blue side." said the speedster as he changed his light color to blue and showing a drawing of the younger again, except in this one it shows him crying, "this drawing shows that birdie bottles up his emotions, i drew this one after he had his dreams." said the speedster, he then changed his light color to orange again.
[ basically me right there- 😭 ]

"i dont bottle my emotions, not anymore at least.." mumbled the younger in annoyance and in embarrassment as he looked at more drawings, "how many do you actually have?" asked Megan curiously as she looked up at the speedster, who thought for a moment, trying to remember how many that he actually had, then he remembered since he counted them one day.

"these two boxes, those ones and then i think two more boxes at my parents house, which are 2124 drawings in total." said the speedster, "wow, you draw Robin a lot, how long do these normally take you?" asked Megan as she looked at more, "if I'm in a rush then maybe about 10 minutes, but i normally fix things after to get it right." said the speedster as he took some more out.

"when I'm not in rush it takes me about 2 hours, depends on the picture i'm drawing or painting." said Wally as he laid the drawings and paintings on his bed, some were on big canvases while some were small ones, yet they still all had so much detail in them that they almost looked real, "can you draw one for us right now?" asked Artemis as she looked at the speedster.

"sure!" said Wally as he grabbed his sketchbook and flipped through tons of pages, which were full of Robin and him, "you really draw him alot." said Artemis, "i used to draw him when we were kids too, just for memories and stuff." said the speedster as he finally found a blank page, "do you guys want me to draw you guys too?" asked the speedster as he looked up from the sketchbook.

"no no, its okay." said Megan as she put the drawings away and put the boxes on the floor to sit on the speedster's bed, who was drawing the younger, he was still looking at the paintings and drawings of himself and Wally, as was Artemis which she felt kinda sad that nobody would do that for her, but she understood and knew why the speedster was drawing the younger so much.
[ poor Artemis, feeling sad that nobody isn't drawing her 😭 ]

"done, take a look." said the speedster as he turned his sketchbook to show the other two, the archer looked and she had an amazed look on her face, the younger looked over and he also had an amazed expression, he just didn't show it as much as the archer, he didn't know why he didn't show it, maybe he was to flustered by the fact that the speedster draws him a lot.

"birdie, you okay? you spaced out for a second there." said the speedster as he was looking at the younger, "i'm good, dont worry." said the younger as he blinked a few times and noticed that the girls left, he sat on the speedster's bed and looked at all the drawings and paintings, "is this why you didn't want me in here, because of the drawings?" asked the younger as he looked at the speedster.

"yeah, i just didn't want to show you in case if you thought it was weird or something." said Wally as he closed his sketchbook and put it away, "why would i think its weird?" said Robin as he looked at the speedster, who was already looking at him which made him look away for a moment, "i don't know, just felt like you'd think weird of it." said the speedster as he looked at the drawings for a moment.

"well i'm not, not even close, i'm actually quite happy that you like to draw me, you have such good art skills, amazing art skills actually, i know not a single person who has such amazing art skills like you." said the younger with a smile, he tried not to sound embarrassed or nervous but he couldn't hide it from the speedster, no matter how hard he tried.

"thanks birdie, really appreciate this." said Wally as he smiled back, they laid down and cuddled together, "i love you." whispered the speedster as he smiled and stared at the younger, who blushed at the three words that left the speedster's mouth, "i love you more." whispered the younger as he quickly hid his face in the speedster's shoulder who smiled brightly.
