After lunch, the rest of the school day was a blur, and I shockingly never saw Chase again. My mom picked me up from school, so if he had ridden the bus, I wouldn't be there to see.

Gah. I needed to stop thinking about him. I had a date tonight. Well. Not really a date... More like a study... But whatever, that's all I needed to think about at the moment.

I pushed myself back in the grey leather passenger seat of my mom's black Range Rover, gritting my teeth while adjusting the seat belt that had just burnt against the side of my neck.

I needed to get home quick so I could get ready for my...study session. I was still waiting on the text from Trevor to get his address.

My mom pulled into the garage and I rolled out emediately, grabbing my stuff and piled into the house and up the stairs. I dropped all of my things on my bed except for my phone, which I checked for a text from Trevor. Nothing.

I went into the bathroom realizing my makeup got a little messed up sometime during the day. Hopefully no one noticed. Ugh.

Should I change or just wear what I have on..?

After a few minutes I decided to leave on my white t-shirt and black jeans. Except I threw my hair up into a long messy ponytail and fixing my eyeliner a bit.

"DING," my phone said.

I looked at my screen, a message from a number that hadn't been in my contacts. I unlocked my phone and opened the message:

Hey Remington! It's Trevor, so turns out I have to go to my cousin's house this evening, but no worries because he lives in town. So you can just come to his place to study. Here's his address: 9845 E. Pearl st. See you soon:)

I smiled at his sweetness while adding his number to my contacts. I was sorta dissapointed I wouldn't get to see his place though, but oh well.

It was already 4:30 and I wanted to leave in 20 minutes. I grabbed my English binder and headed downstairs to grab a snack and a water bottle.

After looking over the pantry twice, I finally grabbed some pretzels and munched on them while swaying back and forth ready to leave. I grabbed a cold water bottle out of the fridge and headed to the family room where my mom was reading on her laptop.

"Hey can you take me to my friend's house? He needs some help on his English project." I said while eating my pretzels.

"Yeah..." My mom trailed, "wait a boy? Is he cute?" My mom's attention was all on me.

I blushed and I looked away, "ha um, i don't know, sorta, but we're just friends."

"That's what they all say..." My mom smirked.

I rolled my eyes, "I'll be in the car."

She sat aside her laptop and got up while I headed towards the front door which I unlocked. I stepped across the front lawn towards the driveway where my mom's car was parked.

I went over to the passenger door, trailing my finger along the car as I circled around it. I clutched the handle to the door and pulled. And pulled. And pulled. Locked. Crap.

I turned around and leaned my back against the car, holding my things to my chest. I waited till my mom came dancing out the front door with her keys. As she unlocked the door, I lifted my body from the car and tailed around, opening the door and slipping in.

I organized my things on my lap while my mom pulled out of the drive way.

"What's the address?" My mom asked.
