Daniels pov
I woke up to my alarm and flashbacks from last night came back I went downstairs to see my mom sipping her cup of coffee and I sat down with her.
"mom can I not go to school today? you know because of yesterday." I asked her.
"sure honey do you want coffee or are you going back to bed?" she responded.
"I'm going back to bed." I said then went upstairs back to bed.
12:52 p.m
I woke up and checked my phone and saw a couple of messages from Shawn.
Shawn ✌️: where are you!!??? :(
Shawn ✌️: are you okay? are you sick? why aren't you at school!??
Shawn ✌️: this place is v boring without you ugh. :(
Shawn ✌️: hey I want a muffin and for you to come to school or at least answer me!!
Shawn ✌️: :(
Daniel 😌: sorry I didn't go it's because my dad ya know... :/
Shawn ✌️: Daniel!! :) and oh it's okay can I go over today after school?
I asked my mom and she said yes then texted Shawn he can then started watching Netflix for a while.
4:15 p.m
I stopped watching "how I met your mother" on Netflix I went downstairs to eat a bowl of grapes and wait for Shawn.
when I was done with my grapes I went upstairs and cleaned up then changed out of my pajamas to something else.
I went on Twitter and then soon heard my doorbell, I went downstairs and opened the door to Shawn standing there with a smile on his face then he stepped in a gave me a hug and I hugged him back. his hugs felt so good and comfortable and I wanted them to last forever but then he let go.
"I missed you oh my gosh." he said pouting which was adorable.
"yeah sorry I just didn't feel like having to go I don't know." I said feeling a bit guilty.
"oh no don't be sorry I understand I would've done the same." he said.
we went upstairs to my room and talked for hours until his mom texted for him to go home for dinner.
after he left I talked to my mom about everything really and then we went on the subject to Shawn.
"you like Shawn Daniel don't you?" she said with a little smirk on her face.
I immediately started blushing and widened my eyes surprised.
"is it obvious?" I asked worried.
"aw you do like him I knew it!!" she said with a big smile.
you see I wasn't the type to "fall in love" because in the end one gets hurt and I didn't want that. throughout my life I had never had a boyfriend I didn't want one so I rejected the guys that have asked me out which was only like 2 then I gave the hint to the guys I wasn't interested on having a boyfriend. I just didn't want that but with Shawn I kinda do but yet don't because one of us will get hurt so now I'm not going to let Shawn get to me.
"okay yes I do." I said.
"wait Daniel you aren't going to push him away are you?" she asked she thought of me never having a boyfriend was just I don't know stupid I guess, she didn't like the idea.
"I will push my feelings away and won't let me and Shawn happen." I actually kinda did want me and Shawn to date but I couldn't.
"Daniel you can't do this forever just give him a chance." she said.
"I don't know I'll think about it." I said even though I won't let Shawn and me happen.
after talking with my mom I went up to my room got ready for bed and then fell into a deep sleep with of course Shawn on my mind.
