Daniels pov
Friday after school
"hey can you pass me my phone?" Shawn asked. right now we were at his house this time, no not mine.
I gave him his phone then his mom knocked on the door and opened it peeking her head in.
"sweetie are you gonna stay for dinner?" she asked me politely.
"uh let me tell my mom, yes." I smiled at her and texted my mom I'm staying for dinner.
"okay, it will be ready in about 40 minutes." she said then walked out.
"haha they are gonna ask you loads of questions." Shawn laughed at me.
"why are you laughing? I'm fine with that I would like your parents to know more about me." I smiled at him.
"alright." he chucked.
40 minutes later.
"SHAWN DANIEL DINNER IS READY!" Shawn mom yelled from downstairs.
me and Shawn went downstairs and sat down at the table, she has cooked chicken Alfredo which was my favorite.
"my favorite." Shawn told me then starting digging in.
throughout the dinner I was wasn't asked loads of questions like Shawn said but his mom did mention that he has never really brought girls home, just him and a girl. she also mentioned that he talks about me a lot and then Shawn scolded at her a bit for that.
after the dinner I had to go home so I said bye to Shawn family and started to walk home.
when I came home the house was empty, I looked everywhere and my mom wasn't home.
I had called her multiple times but she just didn't answer so I started getting worried, like what if something happened to her something bad.
I was laying in bed thinking if the reasons why she didn't tell me anything that she was gonna leave or what happened then later fell asleep.
3:48 a.m
I woke up to my phone ringing I picked it up and answered without looking at the caller id.
"hello is this Daniel Romary?" a lady asked I sat up immediately.
"yes I'm Daniel. what's going on who's this?" I asked worried.
"Ava Romary, your mother just got in a car accident a pretty bad one and we needed to inform you I'm so sorry." I froze and started crying I couldn't believe this what if I have no parents at all now I can't let my mom leave me now.
"excuse me miss are you there?" the lady asked.
"yes yes I'm here can you tell me the hospital she's in?" I asked getting a paper and pen to write it down.
she gave me the address and I asked if I could go and she said that would be okay.
I texted Shawn about it and that I'm going to the hospital.
he answered a couple minutes later asking how and I told him I'm walking he said he'd drive me. I didn't have a car yet because I would use my mom if I needed to use it.
I waited for Shawn and then he came and we rushed to the car and he started driving.
the ride was silent until we arrived at the hospital we walked in and I asked which room she's in the lady told me and I rushed to her room.
when I got to her room a doctor walked out and asked if I was her daughter and I said yes then he told me what happened to her and that they don't know if she will make it or not. but that we can't go in yet to sit down.
we sat down and I started sobbing.
"it's gonna be okay Daniel she's gonna make it don't be thinking negative." Shawn said rubbing my back as I was bent over my hands covering my face.
Shawn's mom already knew about what was going on so he stayed with me for the couple hours.
"I think it's best you leave because you won't be able to see her for a while, not tonight at least." the nurse told me politely said and then me and Shawn left.
shawn took me home then I went straight to my bed and I fell asleep pretty quickly because I was very tired.
