Hot

Kurapika could breathe.

He rapidly opened his eyes wide. Everything in front of him was blurry due to the water stinging in his eyes.

The kiss was so intense, so intimate, Kurapika felt his lips go numb. They were covered by the other man's who had wrapped his arm around Kurapika and now swam upwards, bringing them up again. In his half-conscious state, the Kurta didn't quite realize that the man holding him was saving his life.

He tried to push him back but he still wasn't able to move his arms. He couldn't break free from the strong hold and was forced to endure those fierce lips pressing firmly against his. Never had anyone done this to him. Who dared to? Who possibly wanted to get beaten up by the Hunter after trying? But this man.. it seemed as though he really had no shame.

Kurapika couldn't think clearly, couldn't come to a reasonable conclusion.

When they hit the surface, long and slender fingers pulled out something from his forehead and Kurapika felt as though his body finally returned to him.

Ah, the needle.

It was as if the cloud above Kurapikas head slowly dissipates, allowing him to come back to his senses. He was still held tightly by the man in front of him. Only now could he recognize his face.

Chrollos hair shone under the moonlight and the light emitted from the ship. Kurapikas body was trembling against that firm chest, his eyes blown wide open.

He would have died. Whatever his partner had just done didn't have any ulterior motives. There was no intention of him actually kissing Kurapika, the Kurta reassured himself. He had simply transferred air to him before losing consciousness and therefore saved him. The water was ice cold but Kurapika suddenly felt very hot. A blush crawled up his neck, the tips of his ears and then, finally, his face. It didn't make any sense. How could he tremble from the cold but yet feel so hot?!

He couldn't bare to look at the other any longer and lowered his trembling eyelashes.

"Are you okay? Your neck is still hurt- let's get on board first."

Chrollos voice sounded a bit horse. It sounded very raw and unlike his partner. The calm it usually carried seemed to waver. Unlike Kurapika, Chrollo was pale. His eyes shone with worry, panic even. But the blonde wasn't able to notice this, avoiding Chrollos face as best as he could.

"But Illumi..."

But Chrollo cut him off.

"It's not important right now."

He couldn't tell how much time had passed when his feet touched the floor of their chamber. There was still a hand at his waist, supporting him all the way. Both of them were dripping wet and Kurapika still had a bit of a hard time breathing after having nearly drowned. He could feel the chaotic rise of Chrollos chest against his arm. The thief was probably exhausted as well.

The taller man guided Kurapika to the bed, then realized that there was still a corpse hanging on the ceiling with blood still dripping from it right onto their bed. The black haired gently turned his partner around, supporting him to the clean couch on which he sat him down. Only then did Kurapika notice that it really were his feet touching the ground. Where had his shoes gone? But he couldn't bother with that any longer.

Kurapikas body throbbed. He spaced out for a good while, with his brain not forming a single proper thought  before the blonde felt a gentle hand at his neck, cleaning the wound that still hadn't fully been healed. Chrollo took the utmost care in not hurting him any further and thus bandaged the wound slowly and with caution.
